What! Theres no multiplayer in Dark Void
A lot of Dark Void overlookers will be upset when they find out that it won’t have a multiplayer mode. You would think this game would almost be almost certain to feature a multiplayer mode.
A lot of people will be let down as we found out at Capcom’s event, Captivate 08.
US director of design for Capcom, Kraig Kujawa said:
“We explored it, but there are so many huge features in this game, we really wanted to focus on making the most kick-ass, single-player features possible,”
They had previously included multiplayer but took it out for some reason and wanted to concentrate on the single player experience. Jose Perez says:
“We had multiplayer up and going, it was fun, and to be honest, we just could tell we weren’t going to be able to make the multiplayer game the way we wanted and the single-player game the way we wanted, so it was a really hard decision,”
“For this version, we have a million innovative things that we’re doing that haven’t been done before and we have to get those right in the single-player experience.”
I’m sure single player will satisfy us because it looks brilliant. Check out the Dark Void gameplay video we posted last week.
