The Godfather II dated
The sequel to The Godfather video game has been dated by Electronic Arts and Paramount Digital Entertainment.
Like the first “Godfather” game, “Godfather II” will take place in an open world similar to Rockstar’s “Grand Theft Auto.” However, the follow-up takes place in three different cities: New York, Miami and Havana. Gameplay elements include up-close action as well as a the ability for players to manage their organized crime family from a citywide perspective.
The Godfather II will follow elements of The Godfather part II film plot thats takes place in the lates 1950s. Just like the first game, players will control a rising star in the Corleone crime family. EA Games senior VP-general manager, Nick Earl said:
“The flashbacks that are so great as a film experience don’t really work for a game,”
“We’ve created our own story that weaves in and out with the film and hits its major touchpoints.”
Mark down the 15th of August down in your calender because The Godfather II will be shown exclusively on Gametrailers TV with Geoff Keighley on Spike TV. The entired episode will be dedicated to the game and will include behind the scenes footage, the debut trailer and first look at the game.
