Europe get corrupted UT3 Titan PackThe people in Europe might be wondering what the hell is going on with this Unreal Tournament 3 Titan Pack. If you have the game you most likely went to the Playstation Store yesterday to get the free pack only to find out they downloaded a corrupted version.
It appears that Sony accidentally uploaded the wrong version. No news on when this will be updated… if it hasn’t already been updated.

It seems that an update is now available for the Playstation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3. Load up the game and you should be prompted to download the update.
This update contains around 48 trophies, splitscreen play and a new menu. According to my source, the update weighs in at around 112MB.
This had been downloaded for the European version of the game, not sure if it will be available in the US but if it is, please let us know! We are also wondering if this is the Titan Pack.
If you know anything, please let us know.

Today was going to be a very happy day for Unreal Tournament 3 owners because the free Titan Pack was going to be released. Sadly, the Titan Pack will not be released in todays Playstation Store update.
Steve Polge, an administrator said this on the Epic Games forums:
Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, the certification process for the PS3 patch and DLC has taken much longer than we expected. As a result, we have been forced to push back the release date for the PS3 version to 3/19.
The PC patch contains updates that will improve mods cooked for PS3, so we’ll be taking advantage of this extra time to work with mod authors to make sure the best mods for UT3 are cooked with the latest patch.
You will have to wait a further 2 weeks.

Free DLC on way for Unreal Tournament 3Epic Games have announced a new pack for Unreal Tournament, this pack is called the Titan Pack and will add a number of new maps, new units, new vehicles and new characters. But what the best thing about this pack is that it carries no price tag, it is 100% free!
Titan will be released on the 5th of March 2009. Below is the official word from Epic Games.
The Titan Pack introduces 11 new multiplayer maps for maps for Deathmatch, CTF, Vehicle CTF and Warfare modes, plus eight popular maps from the first UT3 bonus pack and Xbox 360 version. In addition, players will experience two new game modes: Greed mode, a “tug of war” style kill points battle, and Betrayal mode, a cutthroat style of play where alliances and teams can shift fluidly through a match.
The Titan Pack also rewards you for your successes in game, with 57 awards that can be attained as Steam Achievements for PC and Trophies for PlayStation 3.
New units are one part of this mammoth download. The new X-Ray deployable field can be used to lay waste to foes since enemies inside it are extremely vulnerable, while the Link Station, a temporary repair unit, can be deployed to keep vehicles in top fighting condition. The Stealthbender comes equipped with a Link Station, an X-Ray Field, spidermine traps, and an EMP mine, but what makes this new vehicle especially lethal is its underlying Necris stealth technology, which renders it invisible for surprise attacks.
The Unreal Tournament 3 Titan Pack also features the new Titan mutator where fragging enough enemies turns you into the almighty Titan, a 15-foot tall maestro of wholesale carnage that has the effects of every Power Up in the game… ALL AT ONCE!!!Two new turret units guaranteed to “bring the rain” on enemy forces and protect your bases are introduced in the Titan Pack. The Eradicator is a stationary long range artillery piece that will spray fire on opposing units almost anywhere in the map, while the Stinger turret combines the fastest firing rate of any weapon in any Unreal Tournament game with huge knockback.
Nova and Kana are two new playable characters added to the roster of death-dealing guns for hire in Unreal Tournament 3.

Epic have released a map pack for it’s sci-fi shooter, Unreal Tournament 3. The map pack is available for both Playstation 3 and PC The price of the map pack is absolutely free of charge!
Epics map pack consist of three new maps, including two returning classics, Morbias and Facing Worlds. The brand new map is called Searchlight, it is designed for capture the flag mode.
PC gamers can download the map pack from the official Unreal Tournament 3 page and PS3 users can grab the map pack from the Playstation Store later today.
