April 4
Gran Turismo PSP is set for 2009Wondering if Gran Turismo will make it for the PSP? Wonder no further. Gran Turismo PSP is set to be released sometime in 2009. Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi told VideoGamer.com yesterday that the real driving simulator will arrive on the Playstation Portable.
Yamauchi states:
“We’re hoping to have it out by next year, during next year,” stated Yamauchi-san. “A lot of our efforts have been consumed by the amount of effort it takes to develop on PS3, so hopefully we’ll be able to rebalance it next year.”
So it’s definitely going to happen, we will just have to be patience and wait for it.

With the release of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue in Europe, has PS3 hardware sales increased? Let’s take a look.

Capcom recently told the gaming industry that Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G sold 1 million units in the first 6 days of release. On the first day of release, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G sold a cool 670,000 units and has become the fastest selling game in the series.
Making it the fastest selling game in the series, really impressive since it’s not even a full game for the 1.7 million gamers who already own Monster Hunter Portable 2nd.
Retailer site Sinobi put the first day figures of MHP 2ndG at 670,000 copies, including 17,000 Hunter Pack G which comes with a special edition PSP. The amount is slightly higher than MHP 2nd’s 512,000 copies whose record of best selling PSP games in Japan looks vulnerable now at 1.7 million.
Great job by Capcom. All we need is a worldwide release.
