The number wouldn’t surprise many people as half of the PlayStation 3 owners has atleast one extra account in a different region. Why? Because of the different PlayStation Store releases.

Nevertheless, SCEI was proud to announce that they have exceeded the 20 million user mark on the PlayStation Network in ‘only 2 years and 3 months from the service launch on November 11, 2006′.
Since the launch the PSN service has expanded to 55 countries and regions around the world.

Adding to that 14,500 diverse digital content and 5,900 movies and TV episodes, managed to get 380 million downloads (some free some, purchased).

And PlayStation Home is doing it’s best to keep up. Thought it’s only 20% (4 million) that has registered to the service, the potential and future looks bright with the upcoming releases of the Warhawk Game Space and the highly anticipated EA Sports complex.

But are these 20 million accounts all PlayStation 2, 3 and PSP owners? No, since several website integrated with the PlayStation Network, posting a comment made registering mandatory. And with this current Digital Age, fanboy activity is very high so they don’t mind creating a ‘fake account’ just bash a certain console.

Worms coming to PSN

worms 1 Worms coming to PSN

The German USK rating board has revealed that Worms is making its way to a Playstation Store near you. Worms has already been released on the Xbox Live Arcade (since 2007) and has proved to be popular, with more than 500,000 downloads.

Is this the reason why Codemasters plan to release the game on the PSN? No one knows yet as to which version PS3 owners will be getting, but we’re guessing it will be exactly the same as the one on XBLA.

Alot of people were sharing their PSN accounts with others so they could download games or even trade games. Yes, this is illegal and wrong but it still happened until now.

A friend of ps3clan.nl logged into his PSN account only to find that he couldn’t play the games he downloaded of someone elses PSN account. When this user tries to launch a game a message appears stating the copyright stuff. Furthermore, according to this article, it sounds like the person that has shared the game is also having the same trouble.

All we can say is be very wary of this and stop sharing PSN games with others because this could happen to you if it hasn’t already done so.

It is clear … SONY has, after downloading to a maximum of 5 consoles apparently found something on the ‘illegal’ downloading PSN games against them.

they have found a way (the Sony employee that I spoke was’ t already have MAC addresses, etc.) to find out whether it is actually YOU PSN account / game, and not those of someone else.

Play safe.

super street fighter 2 turbo hd remix 02 499x296 [Update]European Street Fighter II HD delay revealed
After posting the story about SCEE being responsible for the European delays of PSN games. Leo Tan of Capcom UK confirmed to thePSN.co.uk that it’s indeed SCEE/Sony who is holding projects back.

Xbox Live users and people with PSN accounts in Japan and the US can already enjoy the Street Fighter II HD Remix but SCEE has send the game back twice due to ‘faults and other problems’ for the PAL region. The biggest rumour why this might be is the lack of trophies which strengthens Sony’s “no Trophies, no release” rule.

Capcom is currently working on a ‘new’ version which they hope to submit to QA within three weeks. And hopefully this one will pass.

Update: Small update. Leo Tan has denied speaking to thepsn.co.uk. He had this to say about it

The news story in which I have been quoted as giving specific details on why the game is delayed, is false. The site that the story broke on, I have no idea who they are, I’ve never spoken to them

Edge Online then tried discover what the real reason for the delay is but Mr. Tan wouldn’t say.

IGN has placed a semi-review on getting online with your PlayStation 3, to play on the PlayStation Network. Their conclusion

The PlayStation 3 has so much potential. If only it would apply itself a little more. It’s clearly capable of great things, but without improving on some of the key areas outlined above, it’ll never reach that potential. Also, something really must be done about getting it into a bigger class size. Perhaps we should speak with the school about lowering tuition costs…

Many PlayStation 3 owners will agree say that sites like Eurogamer.net and IGN are pro Microsoft and/or anti-Sony/PlayStation.

We say ignore them and make your own judgement but if your still interested in known what they wrote, go ahead.

According to the schedule that VG247 have acquired, the games release date is marked for February 19th.

Flower is a PSN exclusive being developed by ThatGameCompany, the same developers that made flOw on the PSN. You go around and explore and interact around you with the use of SIXAXIS and a press of any button.

The goals and journey in each level vary, but all involve flight, exploration and interaction with the worlds presented to you.  Using simple SIXAXIS wireless controls and by pressing any button, the player controls the lead petal and accumulates a swarm of flower petals as he moves at his own pace within the environment, causing the on-screen world to change.  Flower’s gameplay offers different experiences, pacing and rhythm to all players.  Along the way, the environment will pose challenges to the player’s progress.
