Gran Turismo PSP car listHere’s the car list for Gran Turismo for the Playstation Portable. There will be more than 800 cars

Capcom classics will be making their way to the Playstation Store starting today. Ryan McDougall, Marketing Coordinator of Capcom recently published a post over on the US PSBlog to basically promote the library of classics we could see on the store.
I’m here to bring you word of our upcoming PlayStation classics, a library of classic games being brought to you on the PlayStation Network. We’ve sorted through our archives and hand-selected the games that rocked the industry. All of these upcoming classics will be released over the PSN, and will be playable on your PSP.
Basically Capcom will be choosing the classic titles and you’ll be able to download and play them on your Playstation Portable. Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed is the first classic and will be released today.
Capcom serves up a collection of classic games in Capcom Classics Collection. You can relive more than 20 classic titles including 1942, Final Fight, Ghosts ‘n Goblins, and Commando. The games can be played in either one- or two-player mode. Capcom Classics Collection also includes bonus material, such as remixed soundtracks, game tips, and original artwork.

More arcade classics are on the way to the Playstation Network and the latest reveal is Strikers 1945 Plus. So whats new? The Plus version will feature revamped graphics, ad-hoc cooperative mode , 6 planes and a new endless play mode.
The classic game will be published by PM Studios and will be released in July for the Playstation Portable at a price that is currently unknown.

GT PSP cars will transfer to GT5Thats right, you’ll be able to transfer cars from Gran Turismo Portable onto Gran Turismo 5. Kazunori Yamauchi showed a video at E3 2009, the first ever video of the portable version of Gran Turismo. Polyphony Digital are trying to implement alot of features into this title and one of them if this.
Whether it be from PSP to GT5, to even future renditions, GT6 and on, you can carry over the cars as YOUR cars, as something you own, even if the system changes, you can keep it
Looking good eh?

Assasin’s Creed 2 heading to PSPUbisoft have officially announced that Assassin’s Creed 2 will be making it’s way to the Playstation Portable. This will be interesting to see how it looks and plays on the portable system.
Also, the game has a release window of a holiday 2009 which is good news. Around Xmas maybe?

Two days ago in London was the Sony Computer Entertainment Staff Annual Briefing. An anonymous source going by the alias of ‘Legends’has tipped D+PAD magazine massive Playstation news, here’s what was said.
Price cuts coming in March, PS3 performing better in PAL territories than 360
Our source tells us that SCEE President David Reeves took to the stage to discuss the current economic climate and how it shouldn’t affect PlayStation business, though was quick to mention that SCEE will be getting more competitive in price from March 2009 onwards. Our guess is that we’ll be seeing price cuts to PS3 around Easter to tie in with the release of Killzone 2…
Reeves then went on to say that the PS3 has a bigger install base than the 360 in PAL territories, and that the install base gap will significantly increase in 2009. Apparently SCEE is the success story of the SCE divisions, generating more profit than SCEA and SCEJ. 2008 sees it ‘in the black’ in profit our inside man revealed. Apparently there are more technological innovations to come for both PS3 and PSP, but details weren’t disclosed.
Growth of PSN
PSN will be getting much more investment in the future, and having generated £150m in 2008, it’s considered a huge success for Sony. Sony Studio titles will also begin their life with a Blu-ray release and the franchises will be expanded with online content.
LittleBigPlanet & MotorStorm coming to PSP
Our source also confirmed that LittleBigPlanet PSP is definitely in development and that Media Molecule have been working on it for four months. Footage was shown to attendees, though Alex Evans allegedly wasn’t prepared to show it himself because it was such an early build. “It looked good, obviously not PS3 good, but missing the level of detail that you get in a final release” says Legends.
MotorStorm PSP is on the way and ‘target footage’ was shown. No more details on that one.
Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 & God of War 3 info
A 30 second clip of in-game footage of Uncharted 2 was shown displaying Drake being shot at, followed by an explosion. No full title or location was revealed though our source tells us that he did spot a wall with a line of 4 or 5 Aztec masks. Don’t expect a huge graphical leap though – “Looks the same as Uncharted 1, no bad thing”, says our source.
The intro to Killzone 2 was also shown off which “showed the character from the original trailer and a Helghan leader”. “Paints a picture of the world a bit more,” says Legends.
Finally our source revealed that God of War 3 was “masterfully shown at the end”, and that it looked so good our source wasn’t clear whether it was CGI or not!
The trailer showed Kratos wielding his swords and fighting off hoards of skeletons and Cyclops’s, before catching a ride on an eagle, and killing it when he got dropped off. The final scene showed Kratos looking up to a long dark, deep cavern, presumed to be Mount Olympus.
“Some of it looked like it could be in-game action because of the camera angles, but it all looked so good that it couldn’t be. CGI or not, everyone was pumped up by this. The anticipation is growing. God of War 3 could be amazing.”
So there you have it, a few unannounced games that look likely to be announced next year.

Half of PS3 owners also own a PSPDid you know that 50% of Playstation 3 owners also own a Playstation Portable? According to Capcom’s vice president of strategic planning and business development Christian Svensson, Sony’s data indicates that approximately 50% of PS3 owners are also PSP owners.
An interesting note from Sony’s data that they’ve been sharing with us … about 50% of PS3 owners, also own a PSP.
Do you own a PSP?

PSP will see significant growth next yearSony Computer Entertainment America’s director of hardware marketing John Kollers believe the Playstation Portable will see significant growth next year.
“I think going into next year we’re going to see significant growth. We’re counseling retail to be ready for it. We have a number of very strong franchise games on the docket that will be launching next year. We haven’t gone public with those, and many third-parties have not yet either because they’re concentrating on holiday, but we have a number of very strong titles coming.”
“The recipe for success on the PSP resides simply in providing franchise games that are strong brand names like on consoles, but have unique gameplay on the system,”
“We’ve gone to every publisher and they’ve been noticing the hardware is on fire,”

No GC08 PSP bundles for UKOver at Gamesindustry.biz some doubt was cast on which bundles the UK might be receiving.
David Reeves announced at Leipzig that Sony would be releasing 2 new bundles for the PSP.
These are the silver PSP-3000 plus Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, and black PSP-3000 plus 4GB Memory Stick. The United Kingdom won’t be getting these lovely bundles apparently. A yet to be announced bundle will probably take these two’s place as the price of GBP 149.99 price and release dat of 17th October are not a standalone PSP-3000.
The PSP-3000 will not be sold separately in the UK for the next few months after it’s release
The rest of Europe can get a hold of the Ratchet and Clank pack on October 15th and a still to be named date in november for the 4GB pack. You can count for a bundle price around EUR 199.

New PSP has same battery strengthJohn Koller, Direct of Hardware Marketing, let consumers know that PSP-3000 has equivalent battery life to the current PSP(-2000).
He said
While the enhanced screen of the new PSP draws a little more power, our engineers in Japan worked to reduce the power consumption of the overall system including its components, so you won’t have to worry about losing any time when enjoying the more vibrant visuals displayed with the new PSP.
So will you still be getting this new version when it gets out?
