Lots of attention is surrounding Left 4 Dead, especially the rumors saying that the game might be ported to the Playstation 3. Valve have denied all rumors but there is still hope. EA are interested in the idea of a PS3 version of Left 4 Dead, most likely because it will make them money.

UK retailers list Left 4 Dead?

This is completely fake, well not fake but false. UK retailers have started listing Left 4 Dead for the Playstation 3 and apparently the game will be available on the 7th of November this year.
Kotaku contacted Valve, Doug Lombardi responded with:
“Currently, there is no PS3 version of L4D in production”
So it’s not currently in production… [...]

There’s a 50-50 chance of Left 4 Dead being ported to the Playstation 3. Valve’s Doug Lombardi has told CVG that support for the PS3 could be on it’s way as the platforms recent success has raised some eyebrows.

Left 4 Dead not coming now?

It seems that Left 4 Dead may not be heading to the Playstation 3 afterall. In the latest issue of the Official Playstation Magazine, they states that Left 4 Dead would be ported to the PS3 by Electronic Arts.
Doug Lombardi was contacted by IGN for confirmation and he replied with:

Left 4 Dead, originally announced as an Xbox 360 exclusive is finally coming to the Playstation 3.
