Also revealed was the Create feature for the PSP version of LittleBigPlanet.

On the US PlayStation Blog, Mark Valledor told the community on what’s to be expected in the GOTY of LittleBigPlanet. Included in the game are the Metal Gear Solid Level Packs, Metal Gear Solid Costumes, Monsters Costume, Monsters Pack, History Costumes, History Pack, and Animals Costumes. And 18 user created levels picked by Media Molecule, along with interviews from the level creator.
There will also be a special download voucher for the upcoming Play Create Share title, ModNation Racers.
The total value will be at $59.99.

LittleBigPlanetoid posted a ‘massive rumour’.
In an episode of EP Daily on G4Tech TV YouTube video uploading is hinted at coming to LittleBigPlanet.
When the Youtube APi integration was first mentioned on Youtube’s blog, many were looking forward to what would be possible and which games would support it. So far PixelJunk Eden, PixelJunk Monsters and Noby Noby Boy support it along with a few Japanese only titles.
We wonder what for possibilities this will bring and what it will hold for LittleBigPlanet.

Delay for upcoming LittleBigPlanet contentIt had been quiet on the the DLC side of LittleBigPlanet since the holidays, but after the ‘announcement’ that they would resume starting January 22th many LBP owners looked forward to what they had up their sleeves.
MusterBuster announced on the official EU PlayStation Forum that there is a small delay
Unfortunately, we’re not going to be able to release what we had planned at this time, so the wait is going to be just a little longer before the new year’s content updates start to arrive.
With that said, as compensation he offered to show us they have planned for us until the end of February starting on January 26th with the first seasonal outfit.
The Chinese New Year Costumes will only be available for 1 week. Same goes for the Groundhog Day costume, which will be available a few days later.
On the same the same day as the Groundhog Day costume, Media Molecule will introduce a God of War pack which will include a Medusa, Minotaur costume and a bunch of themed stickers to help you recreate ancient Greece in your game. There is also a Kratos costume but that one will not be in the pack and most likely be sold separately.
Followed by the official “Month of Love” LBP will offer you a special Valentine Day mini pack which will be available for two weeks.
And the one I’m looking most forward to is the WipeOut content pack. It will include costumes and stickers but I hope they suprise use with a little level as well. Date: February 19th.
Also expected are a Ape Escape and Toro costume, dated for February 12th
There is no price yet for the packs or costumes, but we’ll keep you posted on that. And MusterBuster reminded us that the schedule can change at any given moment.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Reaches 1 Million MarkBefore we get to the MGS4 topic, Gamasutra gained some exclusive sales data on a couple of PlayStation 3 titles.
Sony has been promoting LittleBigPlanet, hoping it would be a system seller. When first launched the game hardly made a dent on sales. It continued to descend into the month of November. But sales had picked up in December. Bringing the total sales of LittleBigPlanet to 611,000.
The sequel to Resistance which was a launch system seller had fell in the month of December. Resistance 2 had some strong sales in November, but lost the steam into December tallying the total of sales to 598,000.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is a great game, which was emotional and fascinating in quality. From the action to the cutscenes. Game winning Game of the Year from a few sites out there. It’s a great feat that this title has already sold 1,000,000 units. When originally launched back in June, it sold a whopping number of 775,000 units. Between July-December the game only managed to sell 301,000 units, bringing it to one million. Now the sales are only of the boxed versions, it doesn’t include games bundled with PlayStation 3’s.

PSN Expands to 17 Million & LBP SalesThe PlayStation Network has 17 million registered users. There are a total of 330 million things downloaded from the PlayStation Store. This is a great feat for the PlayStation Network.
Originally launched back in October LittleBigPlanet sales weren’t spectacular. But new from todays CES keynote, Kaz Hirai says that LBP has a total sales number of 1.3 million to date. Over 300,000 levels have been published, and total game time of the community is over 2 years.

LittleBigMarvel is not allowed
On the forum of LittleBigWorkshop a member told the community that he received an email from Sony requesting him to stop posting any more content related to Marvel. It seems he violated the copyright policy on which Marvel gladly complained about to Sony.
The content that triggered this he concluded, was probably his “SackThing” inspiration. After some further investigation he found out that other related custom Marvel costumes were also removed.
With this news spreading fast, some sites were quick to draw to conclusion that this might indicate that Marvel might have an official pack coming out.

Holiday bonanza in EuropeOur favourite online store Play.com is at it again, this time with a Monster sale with prices starting as low as £9,99 (€13,99). Seems some stores are trying to make sure the gamers don’t notice too much of the current financial problems in the world with these prices their throwing at us. Only thing is, you’ll need to know when these days are.
The games that caught our eyes were:
Prince of Persia (£17.99)
Midnight Club: Los Angeles (£17.99)
Far Cry 2 (£17.99)
Bioshock (£17.99)
LittleBigPlanet £24.99
MotorStorm: Pacific Rift £29.99
Fallout 3: Collector’s Edition £24.99
Since I already gave myself LittleBigPlanet and Pacific Rift as christmas gift, I’ll be looking which ones will start off my New Year. Fallout 3 is already in my basket.
From time to time we’ll post some interesting sales of games or accessories to help ease the pain in current times

More LittleBigPlanet costumes on the wayAfter the festival pack being announced, Old Snake finally gets it’s appearance in LittleBigPlanet.
In this release you can get Meryl, a Screaming Mantis and Old Snake but here are also special deals like a full Character pack and a Level Pack. PS3Fanboy feel that we might expect a little bit more in in the Level Pack so we have to wait and see.
An expected release date is not yet set but it being displayed on the Hong Kong website must only mean we can expect is very soon. (Let’s hope today)

SCEA takes down Sackbook.comSony Computer Entertainment America has taken down sackbook.com to protect everyones privacy. Mark Valledor, Marketing Manager, SCEA said:
An impressive community fansite popped up last week and we were all impressed, but we’ve been in discussions with the site owner and requested the site be suspended. Chris, the site owner, was happy to work with us on this. Our intent is to be able to offer everyone the choice of whether their shared data is visible or not in order to protect everyone’s privacy, and while Sackbook was doing nothing wrong in the way it presented information and had no access to any personal data, we believe this additional option is important.
I wonder what this site would have been anyway?

We’ve got the biggest…In user-generated content that is acccording to Michael Denny.
Although we’ve had the success in the social genre we want to move that on as well, like finding new experiences with LittleBigPlanet and user-generated content. In the console field that’s an area we can rightly claim leadership to now. We want to look at more areas of that
LittleBigPlanet has almost 180,000 user created levels. Buzz players have created over 100,000 quizzes for the game. So is definitely in the right area at the moment, but the question remains how long with it last.
But Sony is hopeful that Home will continue this great and bring it to a another level, far ahead of Nintendo and Microsoft.

Seems SCEJ is hoping for a quick holiday swoop this year following some of the new advertisement posters. Over at Asdriasang some photo’s of the upcoming campaign could be seen at a subway station.
Sony’s advertisements have sometimes been in question if it was enough, sometimes praised for their way of bringing gaming out but also very controversial (remember the PSP ad) to some. Under every ad we put the translation of the text with the poster given. Only 3 remain not translated.
Check for more posters after the break. Don’t forget to click them for high quality.

The most notable game in this update is Age of Booty. Made by Capcom that is mainly for the casual, online pirate who want to regain some of their past notoriety. You can think of it as a party game which included the help of some former Halo multiplayer developers.
Also you’ll find the PAIN Movie Studio Lot expansion and a special PAIN The Hoff Character on it.
Check the list for what you get in North America.

November 14
EU Playstation store update, November 13th 2008This weeks update brings a lot of DLC content to Europe. Like the US, Europe has the Pain expansion which was delayed.
Our opinion is that Sony is still missing out on a lot of money due to not having released the Playstation Network Cards in Europe, even if it was on a small scale to help the profits in these bad economic times.
Here is the list anways:
Add-on Content
* PAIN David Hasselhoff add-on pack (£1.19/€1.49)
* PAIN Movie Studio add-on pack (£3.99/€4.99)
* Dead Space DLC (listed after the break)
* LittleBigPlanet DLC (listed after the break)
* Guitar Hero World Tour DLC (listed after the break)
* Rock Band DLC (listed after the break)
* 5x Soul Calibur IV equipment customization packs (£0.79 – £1.59/€0.99 – €1.99)
* Star Wars The Force Unleashed character pack 1 (£6.29/€7.99)

LittleBigRobberySo you think you can make the best levels for LittleBigPlanet and probably get some money for it, think again. Seems Sony made some changes related to user generated content in their PSN terms of use(EULA).
The part that many have looked at with a frown is:
You also authorize us [Sony] and our affiliated companies, without payment to you, to license, sell and otherwise commercially exploit your User Material.
So in other words, if you make a level that is very popular Sony and/or any affiliated company will may use your content without paying you for it.
