Playstation Home a potential system seller?Dan Hill believes that Playstation Home can become a system seller in the future. Home offers new possibilities for companies to create revenue through advertisements.
In time I would say that Home will definitely become a reason to purchase [PS3]. Today, we are at the beginning of a long journey – now is the time to start its evolution
The PlayStation Network is getting better all the time, and Home is integral to our online offering. If you buy a PS3 and you grow with us, as Home evolves, you are going to become part of something very special, something unlike you can experience anywhere else.
He may be right on the PS3 giving you a certain experience you can’t find anywhere else, but Home becoming a system seller will be out of the question. Home still lacks a certain amount of features which were promised in the beginning. Of course things change to get a quicker release date, but with 2 big delays, a server problem in Europe and a much heated discussion about the micro transaction fees in certain regions that dream will not happen in the next year.
Home is not for everybody and there are different types of users that own a Playstation 3. You have the ones that just want to play a game, the online gamers, the multimedia freaks, the trophy whores collectors and many more types. The experience on the PS3 is different for everybody. And by believing that a majority of those people are willing to pay for stuff that they don’t actually own (read virtual stuff) is pushing it too far to be a system seller.
Major titles like Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4 and Resistence 2 those are system seller. It is because these games have history and a solid fan base which are two pillars for a system seller.

GTA IV Car Glitch/BugThis is probably the most annoying glitch in Grand Theft Auto IV EVER! So i spend hours and hours trying to find the perfect sports car to put in front of my safe house… still can’t find one and i still can’t find one. Eventually i found the car i was after, started to drive it back to my safe house only to find about 50 parked outside it! After all that time and effort gone to waste.
Why is it that when you try to find a car your after, it never shows up but as soon as you find one and start driving around you run into loads either parked up or driving.
Here’s the glitch/bug in action, i had to show it, screenshots and a video.
And here’s the video. Beware of me controlling Niko, holding a Camera while controlling a game doesnt work.
This wouldn’t bother if there were ‘less’ sports cars but driving around for so long without even seeing one and then you finally find one and see aload of them is slightly offset.
Has something like this ever happened to you? What are your most annoying GTA IV glitches?

Can Niko Bellic fly?Can Niko Bellic fly? Find out in this rather funny video of Grand Theft Auto IV where the player is pretty much using anything that gets in his way to make Niko fly. There are some things in this video that i’ve not even thought of trying that i might try next time i play the game.
“Niko Bellic dreamed of more than just making it big in America, he believed that one day he would fly.”

Everyone was thinking what would be cut from the Australian version of Grand Theft Auto IV? Well details have come through that this version is indeed missing some things seen in the un-cut versions. According to this article the following is cut from the Australian version:
- When players pick up a prostitute in the Australian version, there is no way to select a ’service’ from the prostitute.
- The sexual intercourse sex animation has also been completely removed
- Players will only see the car bounce from a locked rear-view (in the un-cut version you can rotate the camera and get a clear view of the action).
- No blood pools will appear beneath a dead person after shooting or stabbing them to death (there are splatters, just no pools).
- When Niko or other NPCs are injured in the uncut version, light blood patches appear on their bodies which basically represent bruises/bullet wounds.
So there you have it. Special thanks to Mick over at palgn.com.au.

Have you been looking for Grand Theft Auto IV Easter Eggs? Well heres one:

Looks like the Playstation 2 owners are upgrading to the Playstation 3.

If you have had your Playstation 3 since launch and Grand Theft Auto IV keeps crashing or not running correctly, worry no more because there could be a firmware made for the 60GB PS3’s.
A Playstation forum member had emailed 2K Games Tech Support stating that Sony are aware and are looking into a making a new firmware just for the earlier PS3’s. Here is the response from Take 2:
Hello Xxxxx,
There is an issue with the launch edition of the PS3 and this game, the game was checked over and passed as 100% compatible with the current version of the PS3, of course the earlier version has custom chips which mean that it is a very different animal from the current PS3 on sale.
Sony are aware of this difference and are looking into producing a new firmware just for the earlier version of the PS3.
Kind Regards

It’s good to see that action is being taken to tackle this problem. I have a launch PS3 model and haven’t witnessed any problems while playing GTA IV. Check back soon for more info as we get it.
