Playstation 3 owners can declare that they have the worlds most powerful console on the planet today. Sony has said that the PS3 is the only console that could handle upcoming gaming, God of War III

Claire Backhouse, UK product manager for GoW III has told CVG that:

The developers have worked hard to use the power of the PS3 to make GOW3 look amazing and have added features that are only possible with PS3.

The dynamic lighting solution employed in GOW III is only feasible through the computing power provided by the Cell SPUs.

For example, using the High Dynamic Range Lighting (HDRL) technology, the camera – when using Krato’s sightline – will emulate the human retina, causing players to feel a sharp brightness when Kratos exits a dark area and enters a sunlit area, similar to how the human eye would need to adjust.

God of War III is due out in March of this year.

God of War III is a game to look out for as it clearly shows what the Playstation 3 is capable of producing. We really haven’t heard much about the game recently but fear not, Jeff Rubenstein, Social Media Manager has updated us with the games progress overe on the US Playstation Blog.

Today, SCEA announced there Ultimate Edition for God of War III. If you remember back in the beginning of the year, fans were polled on what they were most interested in seeing a collector’s edition for God of War III. With the God of War Collection being separate, this collector’s edition of the game is truly ultimate for God of War fans.

A demo of God of War III will be released on the 19th of November 2009 in Japan. The demo is part of a promotion for the Japanese version of Infamous where it will be bundled with a code for use with the Playstation Store.

The demo will be available around a month after Infamous is released.

As expect, the God of War 3 release was confirmed during Sony’s E3 2009 Press Conference. God of War 3 is one of the key titles for the Playstation 3 and had built up alot of hype. The game currently has a release date of March 2010, so just after Xmas. It’s a Killzone 2 repeat.

That’s the question Naughty Dog is asking through twitter.

Though we missed a special/collectors edition with Killzone 2, God of War III will definitely be getting one. Now the question remains if gamers value a 80 plus euro/pound/dollar edition, which usually included an art book and a behind the scene’s disc.

But is that all we want in a special edition? For me no. Example, Fallout 3. The lunch box and bobble head made the choice for my purchase. Grand Theft Auto 4 also had it with the bag, locker box and key chain.
Such special/collector edition make it worth getting.

But what can you include in a Uncharted edition? You tell us.

Check out this video of God of War 3 that was shown at the Game Developers Conference 2009. God of War 3 looks… fantastic.

God of War 3 is arguably the most anticipated game this generation and these sort of games are huge that need a huge development team behind them.

Did you know that the people that made Resistance are helping the team at Sony’s Santa Monica studio to develop God of War 3? Not only that, but Uncharted creators Naughty Dog are also helping out.

Around 60 people who worked on the previous God of War games are working on the third, this of course is excluding David Jaffe.

Splegends.com have apparently heard a massive rumour that God of War 3 could be playable at this year’s E3. While not officially confirmed but Sony Santa Monica’s Patrick Murphy (Lead Character Artist for God of War III) mentioned that God of War 3 will be playable at E3 2009.

E3 2009 will take place on the 2nd of June and will last until the 4th of June at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
