SCEA announced on the PlayStation Blog that the pre-paid PSN cards will come to Canada in the coming weeks.
The cards have been available in the US for a while and loud calls have been heard from the SCEE regions for this as well but Canada will be the next country to enjoy this easy way of payment on the PlayStation Store.
You will be able to purchase the 20 and 50 Canadian dollar cards from stores like Best Buy, Future Shop, HMV and Rogers Plus. Apperently you can already purchase the card at EB Games and GameStop.

Online news papers say the PlayStation is losing it, competitors think they know the machine better then it’s creators but (a) retailer(s) says something different. GameStop’s CEO, Daniel DeMatteo has come out by saying he find the PlayStation 3 a “great machine” but with the current financial troubles the price is just too much.
The cheapest Xbox 360, which comes without a hard drive, costs $200 and the Wii is $250. Sony Corp.’s 80-gigabyte PlayStation 3 console, which includes a Blu-ray player, sells for $400. PlayStation 3 is a “great machine,” but it is just a bit pricey for the current economic environment
We agree that the price is steep but what your getting back for it without buying all those peripherals to make it complete, makes it cheaper in the end. Though this encites the talks of having a choice and being ‘forced’ one.

Mirror Edge Time Trial available in demoWhile only the tutorial and a small piece of the story were available in the demo (Which you can download from the Playstation store), Dice has now told us of way to try out the Time Trial in the demo.
By entering a 16-digit code in the Play Time Trial menu you are able to unlock this mode to try it out in the demo. This code can be anything but the easiest would be 0000-0000-0000-0000. This mode was first only available to people that pre-ordered their copy at Gamestop but it seems EA and Dice have decided to get the game some more publicity by showing off most of the possible modes in the game.
Most website say this is to help spike more sales to a project that wasn’t as great as EA had hoped.

devonthedude from Playstation Lifestyle found out some information about the reason PSN cards are not so widely available yet.
It seems that Wii Virtual Console points and Xbox Live points are preloaded with the value, compared to the PSN card that is inactive until the value has been added like a store gift card.
This makes it hard for retailers like Gamestop sell them as their system doesn’t have the ability to do that. Only thing weird is grocery stores like Safeway do sell them.

FFXIII release date 2008?According to massive online retailer, Amazon, the release date for Final Fantasy 13 is the 13th of December 2008, yes 2008, not 2009. You can now pre-order the game.
“This item will be released on December 13, 2008.”
I believe this is probably a mistake but who knows! Its probably wrong because they have listed Final Fantasy Versus XIII to be released on the exact same day!
Furthermore, Gamestop have also listed FF13 to be released on the 13th of December 2008. Are we going to get a nice surprise at E3? I hope so.
Could be that the retailers have typed 2008 instead of 2009. Or, 13th of December…. Final Fantasy 13…. makes sense. E3 is around the corner so i presume we should all wait until then.
Could be expecting a nice gift from Santa this year?
