When Square Enix announced that a playable Final Fantasy XIII demo will be available and exclusive to the Playstation 3, they didn’t mention which continents will receive the demo. According to VG247,Sqaure Enix has confirmed that the demo will be Japan only.

We hope to have further news in the coming months.
When the demo is released, check eBay out, i’m sure it will be swarming with Japanese FFXIII demo’s

Final Fantasy XIII is a long time from release, well for America and Europe anyway, it will be released in Japan next year. For those of you that are wondering what the battle system is, or just want to learn about it, here’s some info from Kotaku.
Command Stock: Players selection which action they’d like to from a cluster of five “Action” slots.
Cost: Each of these five actions has a number attached to it and denote the number of slots a particular action requires.
Enhanced ATB (Active Time Battle): This refers to the bar under Lightning’s name (the one with “444″). Players can perform various actions before it is empty. Commands with higher “Cost” drain the ATB bar faster.
Symbol Encounter: Enemies appear on the game’s map. There is no battle screen transition.
Chain & Bonus: Found at the screen’s top right. “Chain” refers to the number of consecutive hits inflicted. It’s not clear what “Bonus” refers to, but Famitsu thinks it’s related to Final Fantasy VII’s Limit Break.
Enemy HP: The HP and names of your foes are displayed — unlike previous games.
Sounds alot like Xenogears to me. Is that a good thing?

The Tokyo Game Show 2008 is underway and information has been revealed regarding the characters in Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Not a great deal, just some names.
FFXIII
Lightning might be voiced by Akeno Watanabe. Nomchan seems to have a name, it’s Sarah or Senon.
FF Versus XIII
The Prince is named Noctis, and the heroine is Stella.

Final Fantasy XIII demo to be sold seperately?According to Nomura in a recent interview with Dengeki, the Final Fantasy XIII demo might be sold seperately some time after Advent Children: Complete’s release.
This sounds like Square Enix are thinking of every possible way to make revenue and this strategy could possibly work. Everyone wants FFXIII and people will pay for a demo.
No word on pricing or an actual release date though.

In a recent interview Tetsuya Nomura confirmed in the latest issue of Dengeki Playstation that Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be release worldwide only on the Playstation 3. This means that you will find FF Versus XIII on the PS3 anywhere in the world no matter where you live. The Xbox 360 version isn’t being released at all.
This is what Nomura said:
[Playstation 3 Only World wide] appears at the end of the trailer
Nomura: As the director of FFv13, i have already stated that this game is [Playstation 3 Only World wide].

According to the Famitsu Magazine in their upcoming issue, the Final Fantasy XIII demo will take you more than 2 hours to complete. This surely is going to be a very big demo, currently exclusive to the Playstation 3.
The demo will be bundled in the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete Blu-Ray movie and will be available in March 2009.
