Jenova in Final Fantasy XIII?
The latest rumors regarding Final Fantasy XIII is that Jenova could return. According to finalfantasyseries.net they think this image could indicate the return.
Looks very similar to this shot from Final Fantasy VII.
“So far some Final Fantasy fans rubbish the claims saying its “too big” a link between VII and XIII. And in their own words; “that’s if its not a super secret remake of Final Fantasy VII”, which is even more outrageous. Isn’t it?..”
Our opinion is that its just another lifeform and has no link what so ever to Final Fantasy VII.
An EA employee over on the Neogaf forums are reporting a number of rumors regarding Final Fantasy XIII. EA and Square Enix have a good relationship so chances are these rumors are true. Final Fantasy XIII Versus has been rumoured to be put on hold, maybe the following rumors are true to put FFXIII into full production.
Final Fantasy XIII will apprently be released in Japan December 2008. Also there could be a playable demo at this years TGS.
- “FF13 this December in japan.”
- “Mark my words. FF13 this December in japan. Playable demo this year at TGS(which I am going too) and playable demo for japan right before release.”
- “This game will not have a WW release due to localization issues. It will hit japan first then NA/ EU the following year but within the fiscal.”
- “It could but the impact of the game will not be as huge. The game must hit japan this xmas to keep the current interest in Japan. This is the reason why SE will own this TGS.”
This is pretty exciting news for us Playstation 3 owners and RPG lovers. I hope all this is true.

We posted some rumors regarding this a week or two ago. Square Enix has confirmed to VG247 that Final Fantasy XIII will appear at E3 this year.
A rep said:
“There’s going to be more things happening for XIII at E3,”
“That’s all I can say at the moment. And throughout the year there’s more things planned as well, which should shed more light on the release timings.”
Final Fantasy XIII will be shown at this years E3, probably with a massive trailer of the gameplay and maybe, just maybe a playable demo.

FFXIII release date 2008?According to massive online retailer, Amazon, the release date for Final Fantasy 13 is the 13th of December 2008, yes 2008, not 2009. You can now pre-order the game.
“This item will be released on December 13, 2008.”
I believe this is probably a mistake but who knows! Its probably wrong because they have listed Final Fantasy Versus XIII to be released on the exact same day!
Furthermore, Gamestop have also listed FF13 to be released on the 13th of December 2008. Are we going to get a nice surprise at E3? I hope so.
Could be that the retailers have typed 2008 instead of 2009. Or, 13th of December…. Final Fantasy 13…. makes sense. E3 is around the corner so i presume we should all wait until then.
Could be expecting a nice gift from Santa this year?
SCRAWL have new information on the upcoming RPG master piece, Final Fantasy XIII. Below is a scan of Final Fantasy XIII but its all in a different language and this is what it basically means:
- The first Final Fantasy to appear on PLAYSTATION 3.
- The gameplay has evolved from it’s predecessors.
- It has a far future world mixed up with a lot of magic
- The game is also about “Human beings (those) who resist to fate”.
- They’re working to push the PS3 hardware to it’s limits and they’re kinda achieving it.
- They want the player to really feel what the characters are feeling, so everything is sorta real.
- The development is taking long because they want to achieve a certain level of quality with the game that no one have ever seen.
- The development has been going nicely, but at sometimes can be challenging.

Todays issue of the Famitsu magazine features the first details regarding a private event Square Enix is going to host on the 2nd and the 3rd of August 2008. The event is strangely called DK Σ 3713.
So what the heck does DK Σ 3713 mean?
D – Dragon Quest, Dissidia
K – Kingdom Hearts
Σ – Sigma Harmonics
3 – Kingdom Hearts 3, The 3rd Birthday
7 – Final Fantasy 7 (Advent Children Complete)
13 – Final Fantasy 13
That pretty much sums it all up. The event is not two days long, its 6 sessions of the same thing spread over two days, three sessions a day. 400 lucky people will be selected for each session and times are; 10am, 1:30pm and 5pm.

Well well, Final Fantasy fans can be happy once again as Square Enix will be returning to E3 this year at Los Angeles Convention Centre, the place where it should be because last year E3 was shambles. Square pretty much sat through the entire thing last year.
This year will be different because according to finalfantasyxiii.net Square will be returning to E3 and most likely showcasing FFXIII and possibly FFXIII Versus. Square have secured a very large both to itself once again.
“Good news is though, Square Enix is appearing at E3 2008. This is looking like a good sign as the Expo returns to the Los Angeles Convention Centre. Last year when E3 was in shams, Square Enix choose to basically sit the entirety of E3 07 out, to the dismay of FF fans worldwide. As the Expo is returning to a singular location, and Square is confirmed to have a very large both to itself once again, and not to mention the drought in news, E3 2008 will almost certainly bring news on FF13 and hopefully Versus 13 as well.”
Not only that but a demo could be on cards. There even could be a playable demo at E3. But Square is planning on getting a demo together.
“Square Enix is planning on getting a demo out to the public, although not specifying any particular region. The demo is planned mainly to showcase the new and very different battle system of Final Fantasy 13. The theme of the first game is determination, something that has been translated well so far in Lightning’s actions and expression”
If all this turn out to be true then Final Fantasy fans are in for a real treat at E3.
I’m sure we will be shown a breathtaking video of Final Fantasy XIII and maybe Final Fantasy XIII Versus too. I hope they release the videos on PSN too!
Lets just hope it is true! Oh and in case you didn’t know, E3 2008 will start the 15th of July and will last until July the 17th.
Oh and with all this news on the Xbox 360 getting Star Ocean 4 and The last Remnant, don’t underestimate the power of Final Fantasy.
