Battlefield 1943 Rank Reset Info

With the kill counter piling up by thousands for the Coral Sea challenge when you blink your eyes, Dice have done something that might not have gone well with some gamers (for now).
DICE is currently performing maintenance on the soldier profiles which it to improve it. After the maintenance all should be put back to normal along with all the badges you unlocked.

All the kills will still contribute to the Coral Sea challenge but no word just yet on whether they will go towards your overall rank. After the maintenance is complete the ranks will be put back to normal, along with all the badges that you unlocked.

On other issues related to accounts, DICE is also looking into that. Some people are having difficulties with their EA accounts so they can’t even get past the menu but this should be fixed in the near future.

Mirrors Edge Boxart
Problem is, we don’t know what it did. The download didn’t take long for us’, so did the install to 1.01.
So start up your game and take a long around and tell us what you discovered it might have done, while we wait on a reply from EA/DICE.

While only the tutorial and a small piece of the story were available in the demo (Which you can download from the Playstation store), Dice has now told us of way to try out the Time Trial in the demo.

By entering a 16-digit code in the Play Time Trial menu you are able to unlock this mode to try it out in the demo. This code can be anything but the easiest would be 0000-0000-0000-0000. This mode was first only available to people that pre-ordered their copy at Gamestop but it seems EA and Dice have decided to get the game some more publicity by showing off most of the possible modes in the game.

Most website say this is to help spike more sales to a project that wasn’t as great as EA had hoped.

The new Battlefield Bad Company patch is now live so when you go to play the game you will be prompted to download the new update that adds Conquest mode that works with 4 maps.

Official word:

A brand new multiplayer mode is here, and it’s free!

Content includes the traditional Battlefield multiplayer game mode, Conquest. Conquest focuses on the capture and control of flags; once a team captures a control point, its members can re-spawn in the area. When a team loses control of all their flags or control points, they cannot re-spawn.

Maintaining control over the flags on the battlefield is a key to victory and the ability to re-spawn troops close to the battlefront can make all the difference for that last offensive push. Four existing maps have been redesigned along with all new lighting and weather effects, to give players a great battlefield on which to play Conquest.  Upon entering one of these maps, the U.S. ARMY will face off against either the Russian or Middle Eastern Coalition forces and the battle for control of the territory will begin.

Don’t have a copy of BF:Bad Company yet? Better go out and get one now!

See you on the Battlefield!

The Playstation 3 is the lead platform for the development of Mirror’s Edge. DICE and EA also plan to port over the Xbox 360’s achievements right over to PS3’s Trophy system. Taken from the Official Playstation Magazine, here’s what they have to say.

Mirror’s Edge is an acrobatic leap forward – and with PS3 being the development team’s lead platform, you’ll want to keep a sharp eye out to see how it lands.

Ok so you’ve seen the previous ‘lets take the rip out of this game’ videos that Battlefield: Bad Company are enforcing? The first was Metal Gear Solid, the next one was an advert for Gears of War, and now this one was released yesterday and it takes the rip out of the stealthy action seen in the Rainbow Six games.

I love it when a game takes a shot at another game and here’s a great example of that. Here we see Battlefield: Bad Company do a Metal Gear Solid 4. You see a bunch of soldiers looking at a can thinking they saw it move, adn the famous explanation mark appears above the can. Its quite funny.

“No locusts, snakes, or rainbow-sprinkled doughnuts were hurt during the making of these three movies.”
