Killzone 3 in the Pipeline for 2010?According to a PlayStation: The Official magazine reader, when he received his December issue, he caught a glimpse of Secret Games for 2010.
Listed was Resistance 3, Call of Duty World at War sequel, and Killzone 3. Seeing Killzone 3 this soon was surprising, but glad to see, since all the tech and infrastructure they have are already done. Take this as a huge RUMOR label, since nothing was announced as of yet. Expect to hear more of this news if in fact true in the future.
“Insider slips reveal three big names you can already pencil for the next year. Killzone 3 is reportedly deep in development, Insomniac’s Full Moon Show podcast hints at a project we can only conclude is Resistance 3, and a Treyarch employee’s online mentions a Call of Duty: World at World sequel.”

Call of Duty fans will be pleased to know that the third map pack has been announced and is due out at some point in August of 2009. The pack will contain three multiplayer maps, co-developed with partner Certain Affinity and one new Zombie map (Der Riese).
So, what are the new maps about?
Battery: An armored island surrounded by anti-ship mines and shore to ship cannons, “Battery” places soldiers on a mid-sized map based on Fort Drum (El Fraile Island) in the Philippines. Expect plenty of areas to hide and heavy close quarters combat.
Breach: Overwhelm the enemy in Breach, set in Berlin’s overcast and crowded city streets surrounding the historic Brandenburg Gate. Only the fittest will survive in this fast-paced, dense battlefield.
Revolution: Revolution pits soldiers against each other in Russia’s cold city streets and large factory environment. Keep your fingers warm, your gun loaded, and your head low through this sniper-friendly territory.
Der Riese (Zombie Factory): Fight for your life in Der Riese (Zombie Factory), an all-new Zombie map set in a secret Nazi research facility featuring the Pack A Punch Machine, a device capable of upgrading weapons at the touch of a button. Use the teleporters to escape the vicious Hell Hounds and pray that the Wunderwaffe will appear before it’s too late.
This pack will also add 10 new Trophies to the World at War trophy list.

Call of Duty World at War is due another map pack and will contain 4 new maps. The zombie map will enable you to collect 10 more trophies.
Banzai
Deep in the jungles of Japanese controlled territory, battle to control the tall river bridge in “Banzai” a bright, medium sized jungle map featuring a waterfall, villages and hidden caves well suited for deadly snipers, surprise attacks and all out gun battles.
Corrosion
In “Corrosion” face down your enemy in a deteriorated Russian train yard. Sprint under, over and through the shattered pipelines and war-torn train cars in this mid sized map great for full out team combat. Keep your head on a swivel as your enemy could be above or below you!
Sub Pens
“Sub Pens” offers a close-quarter bombed-out Japanese submarine base littered with live ammunition, breached subs and idle fighter planes. Wipe the monsoon rains from your eyes and struggle to control key choke points in this tight map designed for exciting and deadly battles.
Shi No Numa (Zombie Swamp)
Keep moving to survive the unending Zombie horde in “Shi No Numa”, the all new addition to the four player co-op fan favorite. Imperial Zombies rise from the misty swamps and flaming Hell Hounds blaze through the jungle as players struggle to find Perk machines and the deadly new Wunderwaffe DG-2 to stay alive. Personally, i won’t be getting World at War, not too keen on the World War theme.

Treyarch, the creators of Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty World at War think they will have a game that will beat the likes of Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2. Treyarch’s senior producer Noah Heller comments.
There’s a lot of competition this year, but I feel very strongly we have the best shooter this Christmas,
There is a lot of people new to the Call of Duty franchise following COD4, and they won’t be disappointed.
I’m looking forward to Gears of War, Far Cry and Resistance 2, and I’m sure they will be great games, but I am confident the consumer will come back to Call of Duty.
Along with the ‘why are you returning to WWII?’ questions, we’ve been asked ‘how are you possibly going to follow up COD4?’ And the answer to that question was not to focus on the previous game, But to make our own game on our own merits and our own strengths, and show people what we can do.
Call of Duty World at War will be released on the 14th of November 2008.

September 30
Call of Duty: World at War Kill StreaksRemember in Call of Duty 4 when you got so many kill streaks you would be able to use some sort of special ability? Well, there back in Call of Duty: World at War. Here’s the list.
Recon Plane (3 Kills):
Kill three enemies without dying and you are given the ability to call in a recon plane to mark enemies temporarily on your radar map. The only enemies that won’t appear are ones using the Reconnaissance perk.
Artillery Strike (5 Kills):
Kill five enemies without dying and you are given the ability to call in an artillery strike. This is very similar to the Airstrike command in COD4, however, instead of a line of bombs going off, the area in which you select for the drop is completely obliterated in a long series of cannon fire.
Unleash the Dogs (7 Kills):
Kill seven enemies without dying and you enable the ability to call in attack dogs, which will sniff out any enemies on the map. Unlike COD4, attack dogs will find you regardless of where you hide, making it exceedingly difficult to avoid them. Furthermore, killing the attack dogs will only save you temporarily as the hounds will respawn if killed until their time/kill limit has expired.
The dogs sound really brutal.
