Absolutely! We are working on pretty aggressive plans for DLC and that’s actually something that is already under-way. That is something that is mostly being run out of the Marin studio because like I said the Australian studio is already ramping up on the next big thing.

BioShock 2’s New PlasmidsThe second game in the Bioshock series takes place 10 years after the first one. Many people are wondering what Plasmids they’ll be using in the new game and we have the details for you. Read below.
Scout
An extremely unique plasmid, this allows you to basically turn into a ghost at will. In “ghost” form you’re invisible, but you can still use attack plasmids (no guns, though). This means that you can scout ahead and zap unsuspecting splicers standing in a pool of water, or temporarily deactivate pesky turrets without threat of attack. Your physical body will remain in the same place, though, and you’ll have to return to it to progress.
Hypnotize
The first game had a plasmid called “Hypnotize Big Daddy.” Same idea here, except it’ll work against ordinary splicers at a much lower eve cost. You can actually charge this power up, granting you dominion over an angry splicer for a longer period of time. It’s not permanent, though. After about 5 minutes the power will wear off and you’ll have to make short work of your new best friend.
Aero Dash
I’m not 100% sure of this power appears in the single-player campaign, but in multiplayer you can use Aero Dash to give yourself a burst of speed. If you charge into anyone you’ll do serious damage. It also makes for a great way to bolt if you’ve managed to snag a Little Sister in the game’s CTF-esque mode.
Cyclone Trap
One of the returning powers. Cyclone Trap works the same as it did in the first game at level one. Power it up to level 2, though, and you can charge any cyclone trap with another attack plasmid. So, for example, you can set a trap and then shoot an Incinerate! plasmid into it. Then, when anyone activates it, they’ll be thrown into the air and set on fire. Handy!
Electro Bolt
Just as in the first game, this is the first plasmid you’ll find in “BioShock 2.” It acts as normal (stunning foes, leaving them open for a melee attack) until you power it up to level 2. At that point you can charge Electro Bolt and release it, causing chain lightning across any enemies nearby.
Incinerate!
As with Electro Bolt, Incinerate! acts the same as it always did until you power it up to level 2. Once you do, you can charge it up and release for a “fire bomb” attack, great for setting whole groups on fire.
Winter Blast
Level one’s the same as before, but level two will allow you to charge and release for an increased ice attack. Foes in the blast will not just freeze: They’ll turn into blocks of ice. This will keep your foe frozen for longer, and the ice block can even be used as a projectile when lifted with Telekinesis.

Co-op a no for Bioshock 2Seems after achievements/trophies and in-game music, co-op is now the most demand feature of gamers for new games. But 2K has announced that Bioshock 2 will not include this.
Rumours had hit the web (as usual) that Bioshock 2 would have a co-op mode. On an official website, 2K has said the following
There won’t be any spliced-up rhinos, Soviet invasions, or co-op, but you may very well see a Big Daddy or two
Look out for the first podcast expected soon for Bioshock 2 including other Cult of Rapture exclusives.

BioShock 2 Details emergeAfter BioShock 2 was pretty much confirmed for the Playstation 3, some details were also released.
- You play as Jake Abbott a private investigator searching for one of the girls kidnapped by Big Sister.
- Jake won’t be the only one investigating Rapture. At some point in the story, Soviet agents arrive from a submarine, hoping to acquire Adam and use it to gain an advantage over the Americans in the Cold War. Soviet enemies will be much smarter than splicers, using cover and flanking maneuvers and working in groups. As the game progresses they will begin splicing themselves and be able to use plasmids against you. The Soviets and splicers will fight against each other and the player can use that to their advantage. ”
- Game takes place in 1967, 7 years after the original
- A cutscene starts the game off In New York City as Jack intercepts the Big Sister kidnapping his daughter in his beachhouse. He follows it to the near by shores as it submerges into the water
- Epic boss battles and underwater gameplay. Much of Rapture is now flooded and you will need to don a diving suit to explore these areas as well as venture outside Rapture itself. An underwater boss fight was shown with a gigantic squid, which can cloak itself and use its massive tentacles to smash into Rapture and hurl debris. One of the concept artworks hinted at a boss battle with a mutated, spliced rhino in Rapture’s zoo.
- Completely new levels of Rapture, including a fully explorable zoo.
- Underwater exploration levels
- New weapons and plasmids (Including a telepathy and time control)
- Challenge maps
- 2 Player co-op. (No mention on who second player is)
- New Health and Revival System

BioShock 2 confirmed for PS3When BioShock 2 was announced it was only announced for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 owners were left worried if they would be able to play the second entry.
BioShock 2 is coming to the PS3 and its official. The page was in the official PlayStation magazine, take a look…

In an interview with MCV, Global President of 2K Christoph Hartmann believed that Bioshock is capable of having several sequels (Bioshock 2: Sea Of Dreams will be part prequel, part sequel). Though he promised to not “cash in” on the future franchise, we believe different.
For Bioshock, because it’s so story driven, the question obviously arises: how long can you do it without turning into The Matrix? The first Matrix was great, the second one was weird and the third one, you thought: ‘Who [making this] is on crack and who isn’t?’. “But, then again, look at Star Wars. It’s a fight between good and evil, just like Bioshock. If we spin it the right way and get the right twist of innovation, we can make six parts of it, as Star Wars did
Hartmann also tried to subtlety say he was upset on how the Need for Speed franchise was killed. Though he didn’t name the company or name specifically you read the next quote and say if were wrong.
But we have to be careful not to cash in. I won’t name the company, but there was a great racing game years ago. They brought it back year-on-year. If you look at the scores, it’s hard to believe what they’ve done to it. It’s upsetting, actually.
Do we truly need a Bioshock franchise or are we content with 2-3 sequels and then something new?

2K games will not talk about their next BioShock game because they are concentrating on the Playstation 3 version of BioShock.
VideoGamer spoke to Markus Wilding, International PR director, 2K at E3, he got asked for any information on BioShock 2. He replied with:
“There’s not. There will be, obviously, but it will take a while. We’re not talking about it just yet because right now it’s BioShock PS3 – that’s what everybody is concentrating on. Once we’re in full effect on BioShock 2 we’ll talk about it.”
“The only thing I can say for sure is not before BioShock PS3 ships,”
This pretty much confirms that BioShock 2 will be coming out for the Playstation 3. BioShock will be released in time for xmas this year.
