John Diamonon has been posting comments on the Playstaton.Blog. One question he answered was the release date for the Bionic Commando Rearmed Trophies.

Just talked to Ben Judd about that. The team is hard at work with the next gen game and are trying to release trophy support probably around the same time.

This basically means that the trophy update could be available on or around the same time Mega Man 9 gets released on the PSN. The current release date for Mega Man 9 is September 25 which is this Thursday.

Lets wait and see.

Bionic Commando Rearmed is a remake of the 1988 NES version of Bionic Commando. Rearmed offer enhancements such as co-operative mode and challenge rooms.

Bionic Commando series producer Ben Judd made a post at the official Bionic Commando blog and stated that Rearmed has topped the 110,000 mark in worldwide sales since it was release last week.

Judd described this as as a relative success.

Bionic Commando Gameplay Montage

Producer Ben Judd wanted to send a little message to the Playstation fans, especially those that want to purchase Bionic Commando. Basically he tells us that there’s exclusive content in the Playstation Network version of the game.

Here’s what Ben has to say:

one of the surprises is that the PSN version of Bionic Commando has an exclusive challenge room that you can only play on the PSN version of the game. It may not be the biggest of surprises, but we have tried to give a little something to the PSN users that they can keep to themselves. And with how hard this challenge stage is, it will certainly make for bragging rights!

For $9.99 i can honestly say that it’s a must buy at a steal price. Go ahead and buy Bionic Commando, or at least try the demo.

The European version of Bionic Commando: Rearmed will be announced next week according to John Diamonon who has made a recent post on the Playstation.Blog.

John got asked when the European version of the Playstation Network game will be available and he basically said that it should be up real soon, wait for the announcement this week.

The EU version will be up real soon. Wait for the announcement next week.

Expect an announcement next week regarding the EU version.

Capcom has revealed that Bionic Commando: Rearmed will not be available to download on the Playstation Network in Europe next week. The European released is now ‘TBC’.

No word on why Bionic Commando has been delayed in Europe. The game will still be available to download in the US and Japan. Has PAL conversion caused the problem?

Capcom has confirmed that the 2D platform game, Bionic Commando Rearmed remake will be released on the Playstation Network on the 14th of August 2008.

Bionic Commando Rearmed will feature a full remake of the NES classic and features an expansive single player campaign. Also, a two player co-op mode has been added to Rearmed with the option of four players to go head to head in a multiplayer mode.
