The new Battlefield Bad Company patch is now live so when you go to play the game you will be prompted to download the new update that adds Conquest mode that works with 4 maps.
Official word:
A brand new multiplayer mode is here, and it’s free!
Content includes the traditional Battlefield multiplayer game mode, Conquest. Conquest focuses on the capture and control of flags; once a team captures a control point, its members can re-spawn in the area. When a team loses control of all their flags or control points, they cannot re-spawn.
Maintaining control over the flags on the battlefield is a key to victory and the ability to re-spawn troops close to the battlefront can make all the difference for that last offensive push. Four existing maps have been redesigned along with all new lighting and weather effects, to give players a great battlefield on which to play Conquest. Upon entering one of these maps, the U.S. ARMY will face off against either the Russian or Middle Eastern Coalition forces and the battle for control of the territory will begin.

Here’s a video of the Conquest mode that will be added to Bad Company this Thursday worldwide. Conquest mode missed the release date and DICE promised to add the mode at a latter date. The time has now arrived.

The long awaited game mode called Conquest will be available on the 7th of August 2008. Conquest is what Battlefield is all about to be honest.
Here’s the press release.
On August 7th, Battlefield: Bad CompanyTM players worldwide will get to experience the intense rush as they tackle online play in a whole new way with Conquest mode that will be released as a free download for the PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360TM.
Made famous by Battlefield 1942TM, Conquest mode pits players against each other in a fast paced battle to eliminate the opposing team’s tickets. Players deplete their opponent’s tickets by one point per kill and can cause their opponent’s tickets to spiral downwards by capturing control points. Four maps that are currently available for online play in Gold Rush mode will be available to conquer with Conquest mode.
Battlefield: Bad Company is available on the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360TM videogame and entertainment system. The game is rated “T” by the ESRB and “16+” by PEGI. For more information about the regular and Gold Edition of the game, please visit http://www.battlefield.com

Battlefield: Bad Company is to get a patch due to the on-going online problems. EA has issued a statement, informing Bad Company players that they are listening to feedback and are aware of the current issues with the online portion of Bad Company.
These fixed include the following:
- Clan support/private rooms/team chat
- Auto balancing on servers
- Continued support against stats exploits
- VOIP issue on PS3 (working with Sony on this)
- Squads might be split up when joining a server as a squad. This is due to team balancing in the games that are being joined, and usually resolves itself in round 2.
At the moment the development team is working on the Conquest mode together with conversions of the maps to suit the mode. The Conquest patch is currently going through testing and certification.
Conquest is needed because it what makes Battlefield, Battlefield.

Most likely the last trailer for Battlefield: Bad Company due to the game being out within days world wide. Here is the launch trailer for the war game and if you havent tried the demo yet i highly suggest you do so because it might make you buy the game, its pretty good.
“Deep within the US Army exists an elite force… this is not them.”

Ok so you’ve seen the previous ‘lets take the rip out of this game’ videos that Battlefield: Bad Company are enforcing? The first was Metal Gear Solid, the next one was an advert for Gears of War, and now this one was released yesterday and it takes the rip out of the stealthy action seen in the Rainbow Six games.

Below is a video of Battlefield: Bad Company that takes another shot at a game. First we saw them take the rip out of Metal Gear Solid and now they are hitting on the Gears of War advert, the Bad World one. This is fantastic marketing… but will it be effective when the game is released in a few days.

Battlefield: Bad Company PreviewCheck out this preview video for Battlefield: Bad Company. This upcoming first person shooter looks pretty good and if you want to try before you buy check out the demo that was released on the Playstation Store a two weeks ago. If you enjoyed the previous Battlefield games your in for a treat here.

I love it when a game takes a shot at another game and here’s a great example of that. Here we see Battlefield: Bad Company do a Metal Gear Solid 4. You see a bunch of soldiers looking at a can thinking they saw it move, adn the famous explanation mark appears above the can. Its quite funny.
“No locusts, snakes, or rainbow-sprinkled doughnuts were hurt during the making of these three movies.”

So have you played the demo of Battlefield: Bad Company? No? Its available on the Playstation Store, go ahead and try it out, its pretty good.
For those that have played it and are getting it when the game comes out in a week or 2, here’s the list of maps that will be included in the game.
VALLERY RUN
DECONSTRUCTION
HARVEST DAY
OVER AND OUT
OASIS
FINAL IGNITION
END OF THE LINE
ASCENSION
8 big maps and more will probably be available as downloads later on.
