“SC4 is more polished and quicker on PS3.”
It seems that the Playstation 3 version of Soul Calibur IV is better than the Xbox 360 version. According to the IGN review, they state “SC4 is more polished and quicker on PS3.”
“Despite the aforementioned concerns, Soulcalibur IV is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it, especially — as I said before — to fans of the series. The game runs well, looks beautiful, sports great music and obviously has enjoyable combat. The PS3 and 360 versions are just about identical (barring the differing guest characters), though I felt that the optional install on the PS3 made things feel even quicker and more polished. In the end, both are worthy members of a long- standing series and you won’t be disappointed with the purchase.
Now get that soul burning.”
So, if you install it onto the PS3’s hard drive your in for a better experience.

I read IGNs review & I think they refer to it loading quicker & therefore the pace of the game is kept up. There is no mention of it looking markedly better. Also wont the new x360s ability to install any game to your hdd render this ‘win’ for the PS3 useless?
Its pretty hard for developers to count in hard drive installs because not every xbox 360 has a hard drive.
Yep, thats true. Good point! I certainly hope developers take the standardization amongst PS3s into account in the future to make better games for us owners!
