Resistance 2 public beta to start October 17th?

The Resistance 2 public beta could start on the 17th of October according to Play.com. If you head over to their Play.com you will see in the description that if you pre-order the game you could have access to the beta.

Pre-Order Resistance 2 from Play.com and receive access to the Resistance 2 BETA. Requires PlayStation Network access. BETA begins Friday 17th October 2008 - instructions will be emailed Thursday 16th October. Customers who have already pre-ordered will automatically be included in this offer.
