It seems that the best version of Quake Wars is the Playstation 3 version because the Xbox 360 version does not have cockpit view… no one knows why its not like its something that will demand huge power.
So how will this effect 360 users? Well i find it harder to aim in third person view in a tank and switching to first person gives a more precise, more accurate aim because its kinda zoomed in more. In fact in games like Battlefield i always switch to first person view whether flying a helicopter, jet or driving a tank.
Take a look at the Gametrailers.com comparison video. If you fast forward the video to around 1 minute 16 you will see that a message pops up saying ”No Cockpit view in 360 version”.
Thats because the Xbox 360 sucks big time. PS3 FTW!
This doesnt look like a particularly technically impressive game so it seems like an odd ommission. However, they probably had their reasons.
Perhaps Sony, eager to gain an edge with the “hardcore” market was willing to pay them for the feature while Microsoft, with a fairly significant number of FPS/Shooter franchises already, didn’t bother to pony up the cash.
Could it be missing because the PS3 is a more powerful machine? Yes. Is it likely? Based on what I’ve seen of the game so far …. no.
Why would Sony bother paying ? especially for so little , and when they even admitted letting go of more juicy exclusive deals ?
The quake wont probably be big on consoles , and got no reason to be …. gameplay and content wise it might be better (on pc ) than a few team based fps , however consoles dont really need the title , and are far more excited about the likes of halo , killzone , resistance , gears of war…
im waiting for the head-to-head graphic comparison…
n each version’s native resolution…

Sorry but the ps3 version recieved lower ratings than the Xbox 360 version. Both versions did terribly but Gamespot gave the ps3 version a 5.5 and the 360 a 6.5. Same with IGN.
Well, looking at the trailer, I fail to see how the PS3 version is the worse of the two.

ps3 wins the features, x360 wins the graphics
