We all know that Playstation Network is going to have a premium service where you’ll have to pay for it. No one knows the details of how much you have to pay or what you’ll get in return but one rumour is floating around that it may favour trophy hunters.

ps cloud PSN Premium to favour trophy hunters?

Playstation Cloud was supposed to be a type of Trophy comparison system for the Playstation 3. While I doubt it will be under the name Playstation Cloud I do believe that this premium service will include some type of special treatment towards Trophy Hunters.

Psnathome think that the premium service will have:

  • Financial rewards for Playstation Trophies
  • Advanced PSN profile looks
  • Advanced comparison of trophies between friends
  • Playstation Trophy Leaderboards

What do you think/want to see in the premium service?

From a premium service, I’d like to see no interference with the current setup. The instant LittleBigPlanet declared that it was acceptable to sell a couple of pixels arranged as a costume for between £1 and £3, DLC became more expensive for far less content, with the over-priced Fallout expansions, ridiculously-priced Home costumes and pre-prepped Dragon Age packs demonstrating how far developers are willing to go to exploit gamers.

When a premium service launches, I couldn’t give a monkeys what’s involved, what it costs or who’s interested. I just don’t want its arrival to affect the current pricings, online modes and Store content. The network, as it is now, is what I’ve bought into. Changing that will likely result in a strongly negative reaction.
