PSN Friends list increased?

According to playstationlifestyle.net it seems the PSN friendslist limit of 50 persons has been increased but to which amount currently isn’t known yet.

The author did not have a problem of reaching the limit recently but due to a friend notifying him of this ‘change’.

Then one of my friends messaged me saying they just counted their friends and they have over 50. I didnt believe it and i assumed he had also counted himself. So i tried this myself and i counted a total of 55 friends plus myself. I had to do this three times and i came with the same figure.

If this is the case it might be that firmware 2.36 increased the limit. This is understandable as with HOME approaching your friends list might increase much rapidly.

Update: Seems the limit is now 100 if we believe tazzer1 on the GameTrailers.com forum
