PS3’s missing games at E3
So, E3 is over and a lot went on. Sony lost exclusivity to Final Fantasy XIII but managed to keep Metal Gear Solid 4 and other titles such as Final Fantasy XIII Versus. Some people thought Sony’s press conference went well others say they weren’t too impressed with it.
Let’s take a look at the missing games of E3 that could have boosted Sony’s value and possibly have took the E3 show.
La Noire
Developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games, LA Noire is a Playstation 3 exlusive game set in a re-created Los Angeles in the late 1940s. LA Noire is still tipped as a Playstation 3 exclusive and has only been officially announced for the Playstation 3. The game is due out sometime in 2009.
Team ICO Game
According to rumors a new game by Team Ico is in the making for the Playstation 3. This would have been good if it was revealed at E3. Many people refer to this secret game as ICO3 or Shadow of the Colossus 2.
Naughty Dog Game
Sony could have at least shown a new Naughty Dog game at E3 for example Uncharted 2 or a new Jak & Daxter game. This could have wow’d fans and stolen the show.
Final Fantasy 13 versus
Ok so this is the exclusive Final Fantasy game we are getting but did we see or hear anything at E3? Not really. I can only hope something is planned for the Tokyo Game Show.
Red Dead Revolver 2
So we saw the logo for this game at E3 but no trailers or anything. This could be Rockstar’s exclusive game they announced months back.
Twisted Metal
We are all waiting for the next Twisted Metal game. Incognito should have announced or shown a trailer. I expect something at TGS.
Kingdom Hearts 3
Nothing was mentioned at E3 which was kinda dissapointing. If Sony secure KH3 it will make up for the loss of FFXIII.
If the above games were revealed at E3 as Sony exclusives i think they would have blown us away. While they weren’t shown at E3 whats to stop them from showing them at TGS?
Are there any other games you would have liked to have seen at E3?

So basically they are missing some games… out of the whole library?
I mean come on, we all know damn well that they were not going to show some of those titles. You can’t expect them to show ALL the titles, especially ones with no introduction.
I would have loved to see everything, but we don’t live in that world.
i am an rpg fan, and I have to agree with Paranoimia, I think the games that are on an NDA that were shown behind closed doors will make up for that MS payoff.
Red Dead 2 is not the damn PS3 exclusive you idiots. The PS3 exclusive is a new IP from Rockstar. Soemthign they’d come up with conceptually.
I agree, FFXIII was a cheap shot, and regardless of Microsoft stealing Sony’s exclusives, Sony is innovative and will always come up with fresh 1st party exclusives. Little Big Planet will never come to 360, and that game looks superb.
By the way, anyone who calls the Team ICO game SotC2 should be shot. It’s TRICO or ICO3. You decide, but it’s not Shadow of the Colossus 2. I expect a showing at TGS.
Liepzieg and TGS should be big for Sony, with all their secret games.
Incognito would not be part of the nest Twisted Metal. It’s said to be EatSleepPlay working on that project.
That’s right John Latham, David Jaffe will be making the next Twisted Metal. NOT Incognito. I was surprised neither studio showed off their latest titles.
Sony keeps telling us to wait for TGS, and don’t forget Leipzing.
dont forget white knight chronicles it was a no show at E3 and im interested in seeing what has happened with that game.
I don’t know what the big deal is with FFXIII - personally, unless it’s first-party, then I have no trouble with 3rd parties releasing on whatever platforms they like, as long as they include the PS3 as well, be it KH3 or whatever - and I definitely want Square Enix to make enough cash so that they can keep producing games. With first-party quality like Sony provides, we’ve got _plenty_ of great exclusives that make the PS3 stand out - and as a bonus, we’ve got a machine that’s a lot less likely to tank than Microsoft’s effort, and over time will continue to improve. Speaking of which, I’m very much looking forward to Team Ico’s next crack at things.
dark cloud 3. look at its wikipedia page… says march 2009. I thought they were working on white knight chronicles though..hm
If E3 is suppose to be the biggest game expo of the year where are the major game developers - Activision, Capcom, Midway, Crystal Dynamics, Sega, LucasArt; etc? Are they holding back for TGS coming later this year?

I’m sure Sony held something back for TGS. As someone who hates RPGs, the FF XIII issue doesn’t even register on my radar. Sony have nothing to make up for IMHO.
As far as show-stealers and surprises go, this E3 was pretty lame all round. Biggest surprise for me was MAG.
