Many Playstation 3 fans with their eye on F.E.A.R 2, the sequel to 2005’s horror title, are wondering if they are going to get a lazy port from the PC/Xbox 360 version. The short answer is no. Dave Matthews the primary art lead for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin has assured fans that this will not be the case.

Mathews has been speaking with CVG and said that he believes poor console ports of the first game caused the series to loose some potential fans. I have to agree with this statement.

Now we’re handling all three versions, we’ve changed our development structure to develop all three SKUs simultaneously and there’s no lead platform. While there will be some slight variations between the different versions, so if you’re on PC you can push some things further, our main goal is to make sure the experience is synonymous across all three platforms.

So there you go, no need to worry about getting a rubbish port of the game. In fact, i’ve just pre-ordered my copy.
