PS3 trophies to be mandatory from January 2009
Great news here. VideoGamer.com has revealed that from January 2009 all newly released Playstation 3 games will be required by Sony to support the trophy system.
Earlier this week VideoGamer.com received a tip from an anonymous source within the UK video game industry that, from January 2009 onwards, all newly released PS3 titles will be required to support the PS3 Trophy system.
Today a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe spokesperson confirmed that this information is accurate, stating: “Yes from Jan 09 all games must have trophies.”
You can now look forwards to every single game having trophies – well every new game that will be released on PS3.

cool…. but how ’bout mandatory custom soundtrack support.. & does Mirror Edge has custom soundtracks???
I agree. Trophies are great, but custom soundtracks are rarely supported. Get with the program Sony, I means its there for a reason right?
I know! I personally think custome sountracks is more important than trophies. I want to listen to some good ol’ Autopilot Off in the middle of a huge battle with a leviathon, man!
Wouldnt you rather listen to the music score the game contains?
