PS3 System Software Update Firmware Version 2.42 live
PS3 System Software Update Firmware Version 2.42 is now live. Official word from Sony:
Just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up that a PS3 firmware update (v2.42) is now available for download. This update improves the playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software.
Apparently it appears that Trophies have been optimized and are loading far quicker than before.

the update version 2.42 allows u to download while playing a game i can confirm that before it did not

Not true. Last November, I was downloading while playing Uncharted.
Im getting tired of always having to download the updates, all i want to do is play MGO, but no… sony HAS to make updates on an already wierd system.

But does this fix the problems of the freezing issues that have came up with 2.41?
