PS3 System Software Firmware 2.41 this Wednesday?

Playstation 3 System Software Update Firmware Version 2.41 is rumoured to be coming as early as this Wednesday the 9th of July 2008.

According to CVG:

According to customer support, firmware version 2.41, which should be clear of all errors, will out “midweek”, although Sony is yet to make an official announcement to confirm that.

Lets hope this is true. In case you’ve forgotten or dont know whats been going on, Sony pulled down firmware 2.4 because a small number of users reported that 2.4 bricked their PS3. No one knows whether this was true.

Awesome, can’t wait for this. I was one of them that werent quick enough to grab 2.4 before it got pulled offline.

I have just got my update 2.41 and is a day early accourding to sony. Hope then update goes fine as i know a few friends had trouble with 4.1

Im downloading 2.41 right now, so Sony must have releast the firmware earlier than expected
