Playstation 4 to use existing Cell processor?

There’s a high chance that Sony will be using the existing Cell Broadband Engine architecture in their next generation console, the Playstation 4. Sony will most likely do this to lower the manufacturing costs.

The current plan PS4, Cell BE will be based on the original expansion of the PLAYSTATION + Cell BE appear to be close to a strategy that is in essence be no different.

I’ve just read an interesting article about what could be possible in the PS4, click here to read it.

Personally, I don’t like this P$4 news, Sony & their exclusive developers are always bragging about the PS3 untaped power, it will be nice that the PS3 fight directly the new Xbox than release a poor upgraded console, it will be like a hara-kiri to SONY’s fame and fans cause its just to soon to be even talking about it, is like planning a funeral at his bar mitzvah I’m happy with my ps3 and not happy at all knowing that the replacement it right around the corner, I remember that when the 360 was release I still buy a ps2 slim first and wasn’t disappointed (MGS3 & Shadow of the colossus were better games that most of the 360 launch tittles).
Just give three a chance to live, cause three is a magical number.

I can’t see Sony showing their hand this early and tipping off the competition.

Even so, if they do stick with the Cell, who’s to say they aren’t planning to include 2 or even 3 of them? Production costs on the chip are falling, so it’s not an unreasonable assumption - especially as, no matter who you believe, the PS4 is still years away.
