PlayStation 3 still King in JapanPre-Order from Amazon & Get $10 Off Your Next Game:
After two/three weak months of sales in Japan (september/october) and North America (November) it’s seems PlayStation is on the up again in Japan.
The PlayStation managed to sell 3 times more then it’s direct competitor (Xbox 360) during the period December 15th till December 21st.
DSi 204,100
PSP 146,000
Wii 131,000
DSlite 50,300
PS3 39,100
X360 12,900
PS2 8,700
These are still not super numbers but atleast they’re out of their slump. Still king of the hill remains Nintendo with their DSi.

In Europe it’s a different story. While the PlayStation 3 was still (far) ahead in September, it’s a completely different story now. The dynamic duo (PS3 and PSP) managed to sell around 200,000 each in the week of December 13th, while the Xbox 360 almost sold 340,000 units. They’ve fallen a little more then 1 millions units behind the 360 but that can be expected with their current price for a console (£129.99).
On software news, LittleBigPlanet is still going strong, week in week out despite the ‘weak’ start in October.
