No Yoda on PS3 or Vader on 360
In an interview Soul Calibur 4 Director Katsutoshi Sasaki spoke about the game with XCN. He talked about his favorite character which is Hilda saying
My favourite is Hilda, who I wanted to express her feminine side without showing her skin. Everyone picks up the exposure of the characters’ skin, but we didn’t emphasize it without their characteristics.
Also stating that the game would contain 33 characters to choose from.
He did not share the concern of the Star Wars players (Yoda, Dark Vader and the Secrect Apprentice) not getting a warm welcome.
On the question if these character would appear as some downloadable content, he comment that there are no plans as of yet to do this. But he can understand the fans interested in such a possibility. But on possible customes, weapons, levels he said the following
We plan to offer enjoyable content in the future. However, I don’t want all of the players to misunderstand, we are sure that everyone will have so much fun with the game itself without DLC. It is not like you must get DLC to have fun with this game.
Some major concern which always exist are that character might be too unbalanced. Especially like the added character if you’ve seen the IGN video review
