No Trophies for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

News has just come in that LucasArts upcoming Star Wars game, The Force Unleashed will not support the Playstation 3’s Trophy system.
We contacted Adam Kahn, LucasArts Senior PR Manager for confirmation and he responded with:
“The Force Unleashed does not support the trophy system on PS3. I can’t speculate about what might happen in the future, though.”
Could we be seeing Trophies in a future update? All we know is that the game won’t support Trophies when it’s released.
That doesn’t give you a reason not to buy the game because it looks brilliant. The game is scheduled to be released in September.
Are you going to buy it? Do Trophies mean a lot to you?

Aww man trophies are nice but we want multi-player.
For this reason, i am not going to buy it!
if it doesn suport trophies it shouldnt support achivments either there the same thing one adds a nice graphic instead of a number
i am very fond of trophies and i am disappointed that this highly anticipated title doesn’t support them. is it a deal breaker….no… as a star wars fan this game has me. i hope it gets patched i bought super star dust to try trophies and now think all games should have this. it is a blast to compete with your friend for bragging rights. you know what. why bother with it at all they clearly dont want to sell more games. if they didnt put acheivement on this game for xbox they wouldnt lose any sales, might drop a little but not a whole lot because its been around a long time. but on a system where alot of hardcore gamers are begin to get more trophies for the purpose of improving there stats against others, already lacking alot of trophies. is this payback at sony for not introducing this feature on the launch of the system? a little confident are we? i mean its only naturel to try an make as much money as posible in this industry right? shouldnt they take advantage of this wonderfull oppertunity? i guess they arnt worried finacialy and dont want to make a little extra cash. unless i was wrong all these years and thats a BAD thing.
I hope they eventually put trophies in via patch, it will add to the replay value, trying to earn trophies.
well once they do release a patch for the trophies, for sure I will be buying this, otherwise, back to Uncharted.
It is a let down but i’m sure it’s something that wouldn’t stop you from buying it. I agree with the people that are kinda upset not to see Trophies. I agree with that Jason has to say.
It’s not surprising that trophies are not supported. The game has been completed and certified for over two months now.
I don’t mind. Trophies are a non-issue to me. I’m really excited about this game, and I can’t wait to play the demo.

Trophies suck. Achievements are the way to go. So much easier.

Bottom line, for me anyway, I’m buying the 360 version then…a shame…
