No price cut announcement today
The moment word hit that Sony would make an announcement on March 31st, people’s first thought was that it would be a price cut for the PlayStation 3. But now for the 5th or 6th time Sony has come out and dismissed these rumours.
As we have stated previously, we do not have plans for a PS3 price drop, and any rumors to that effect are false and are the result of speculation. SCEA remains focused on the long-term momentum of PS3. With the industry’s best software lineup this year, combined with our most aggressive marketing campaign to date, we remain confident in our approach and the value we’re delivering with PS3
But there was a rumour of a possible price cut for the PlayStation 2.

Im glad there’s no price cut, a lot of companies are losing money because of price cuts in my opinion, I say leave it at £300 for this financial year or do a slight price drop in January 2010 maybe.
True, though price cuts make it easier for consumers to buy stuff. It will force the company selling their items to sell much more to cover that cut.
double true!
