Ted Price, head of Insomniac speaks about PS3’s upcoming sequel, Resistance 2 in Sydney, Australia.

Ted Price started things off by saying that there was a “lack of unification” between the single and multiplayer modes in the first Resistance, Fall of Man. Resistance 2 will have a far more unified design in both gameplay terms and aesthetics, settings and story.

The story will also be bigger and more thorough

Resistance 2’s eight player co-op, which has a separate set of levels from the single player game, as the perfect bridge between single player and multiplayer.

Resistance 2 will kick off right after the end of the original

Price confirmed that the multiplayer will feature massive 60 player online battles and eight player co-op modes.

Price spoke a little about their vision of alternate history 1950s America – this ain’t the clean cut, suburban stereotype from our world, but a bleak, desolate place that becomes even more so after the Chimera begin to decimate it.
