MotorStorm Pacific Rift a month later for Europe

Sony has announced they will be releasing a MotorStorm Pacific Rift demo as part of Qore. Those who subscribe and download Qore episode 4 will get access to the demo and get to play a month before anyone else.

But what about the people in Europe who can’t download Qore? It appears that the demo will be released on the Playstation Network as a free download a week before the full version is released early october.

No specific date has been set for the demo but early September sounds good.

Without meaning to sound bitter, this is the kind of thing Sony does that really pisses me off. Evolution Studios are a UK/Europe based developer, and SCEE should be making sure that if anyone gets a demo first, it’s us in Europe.

Beta after beta, demo after demo, game after game, feature after feature are available in the US either first or exclusively. With games developed in the US, even Japan, that’s fine - but now we’re also the last to see a product of our own continent.

I realise that this is probably a result of Sony wanting to make a bit more money from Qore - but again, us in Europe are screwed because - surprise surprise - we don’t have Qore or any kind of equivalent.

I’m a huge fan of Sony, and have been since the days of PS1, but even my patience is being tested now. SCEE need to get their collective finger out of their corporate arse and start coming up with ways to repay the loyalty of their European customers.
