So you think you can make the best levels for LittleBigPlanet and probably get some money for it, think again. Seems Sony made some changes related to user generated content in their PSN terms of use(EULA).
The part that many have looked at with a frown is:
You also authorize us [Sony] and our affiliated companies, without payment to you, to license, sell and otherwise commercially exploit your User Material.
So in other words, if you make a level that is very popular Sony and/or any affiliated company will may use your content without paying you for it.

That’s not unusual. Effectively, you’re using their tools to create the level, publishing it on their network, so it’s their property.
If you write software for a company, using their tools on their systems – as I used to do – what you create is their property. That’s just the way it is.
Yes, that’s correct. I work for a web development company and any applications i create such as CMS. I can’t use the CMS personally because it’s the companies.
That must personally be annoying as you can’t use the application you work best with?
Ah, thanks for shedding some light on that.
Paranoimia, that isn’t an accurate comparison.
Signing a contract and being paid for work is very different to creating content for a game.
Imagine if you made an awesome mod for Call of Duty 4 using the supplied tools – should Infinity Ward be able to stop you from distributing that, and sell it as their own work without any credit to you?
