Is BioShock 2 heading to Playstation 3?

2K Marin is a new development studio dedicated to create AAA next gen games. They are located in Novato California and formed by Take-Two Interactive.

“We’re focused on continuing to bring new brands and cutting-edge gameplay to market with the creation of the 2K Marin studio,” said Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K. “2K Marin will build upon our success in creating and leveraging AAA franchises.”

2K Marin have posted some jobs on their website advertising for programmers, animators, level designers to work on next gen AAA games. This includes Bioshock 2, and in some of the job descriptions have this:

Experience developing for next-generation game consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii).

So this means they are looking for people that have had experience with working on a PS3. This is good news for PS3 owners because we never got the first Bioshock, but we can all hope for Bioshock 2.

Bioshock 2 is actually a prequel and is planned for a 2009 fall release. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
