Home Beta Version 1.04 Released
The latest patch to the Home beta has brought in beards to customize your avatar with. One thing was removed to the latest patch, and that is the voice chat.
As before, the purpose of the update was to ease user log-in into the service.
The reason for this maintenance is to ease the difficulty some people are having accessing PlayStation Home due to the high demand for the service.
Additionally, as part of version 1.04, the voice chat feature within PlayStation Home will be temporarily suspended. As soon as we are ready to resume the voice chat feature, we will inform you via PlayStation.com and PlayStation.Blog. In the meantime, we encourage users to make use of the Wireless Keypad for PLAYSTATION 3 or any USB or Bluetooth-enabled keyboard for text chat and also the “phone friend” features to communicate within PlayStation Home.

The login problems seem to have gone, but there are some issues with the update. Some people have lost items won on the arcade machines, others have lost furniture they purchased. Also, any furniture placed in the a Clubhouse has disappeared. I tried redecorating again today, and items stayed as long as I was in Home, but disappeared again after I quit and went back in. These are all issues which they’re looking into.
I’m not surprised the voice chat was removed; sadly, a number of morons have been using it to abuse others. It baffles me why these retards feel the need for such behaviour. Anyone reported for this abuse should have their accounts monitored and voice chat recorded, then if necessary, their PS3 barred from PSN.
Noticed it in out Club House as well. And disbanding the Club is also still not possible.
