Haze runs at 576P? Ninja Gaiden 2 runs at 585P
When all the Xbox 360 fan boys found out that the Playstation 3 exclusive shooter Haze ran at sub HD resolution it of 576p it got slammed hard and tried to make it look like a really bad game (and its not a bad game at all).
One of the Talk Playstation readers have e-mailed me asking me to make a post that Xbox 360 exclusive (or timed exclusive) runs at 585P. And that game is Ninja Gaiden 2. Does this mean it makes NG2 a bad game? No. Did it make Haze a bad game? No.
This is currently a rumor… A user over at the Beyond3D forums has said the following:
“it seem 1120 for horizontal but need confirmation, there are not good screenshot for horizontal check. for vertical 585 it’s relatively sure and reliable 1120×585 would be another type of anamorphic resolution, opposed to the other classic anamorphic 1024×600 use in some X360 (COD4, PGR3, Oblivion, TR…)
but there are little more pixel in 1120×585 than in 1024×600 and 1120×585 is the better use of the EDRAM space that i have seen. it’s 9.998MiB, just a 2KiB residue unused. maybe it explain this choice”

It doesn’t matter what resolution the games run at, its how well it plays. I just thought i would stick up for the Playstation fans and just get a point across. Resolution = means nothing. Steady frame rate = vital.

There are quite a few games that run at a true full 1080p resolution including Ninja Gaiden Sigma and GT5: Prologue. I’m sure more will in the future.
FYI, Ninja Gaiden 2 is running 1120×585×2AA,60fps which is “higher” than HAZE @1024×576x0AA,30fps (do the calculation on how many pixels’ lag)
and Ninja Gaiden Sigma runs @1280×720x0AA…(yes, it’s higher but lack of Anti Aliasing). you should have known the “cons” of using AA in a game…
and please bear in mind that NG2 has more enemies on screen, special effects, and more detailed textures than SIGMA…

and for ps3 native 1080p games?
i dont think there will be many…
GT5 is the latest native 1080p game…, while Resistance2 will run @1280×720.., dunno about killzone2 (but from the screenshots, its 1280×720)

Xbox360 not only capable of upscaling non 1080p -> 1080p.
but, it can output true HD 1080p too: NBA Street and VT3 are some of the examples..
the interesting thing is that PS3 can upscale non 1080p -> 1080p via “strange method”…

have you checked the latest reviewed multi game GRID?
Xbox360 run it@1280×720x4AA while PS3@1280×720x2AA…
In fact, the difference between 2AA and 4AA is noticeable (in quality n performance cost)..
when fign gave haze a 4/10 i did not have the game yet but still i still butte it even over the bad ratting ign is only xbox360 fan boys that made the web page. they dont even care about rating the ps3 they will always rate it porly so they can get people not to buy the ps3. i think that is so roung becuse every one knows the ps3 is the best system in the would you can even ask people from every countery in the wourld and thell tell you the ps3 is the best system out there. when you go to gamestop ask the guy which system is the best choose he will say the ps3. hey may even say the wii is better thaen the 360 for fun facter but he will say that the ps3 and the we are the way to go because everthing you can do online on the 360 is free onthe ps3 butt thewii hase online to butt dusnot have as much stuff as the ps3 and 360. so xbox fanboys you are rong agen when i bett haze i just relized how much fun i had playing it and you cant tell me the game was whers then rfom because it was as fun as that game. and even when in game xmb cumes out the ps3 will rull the would in having the most online fun system on the planet.
