GTA IV Car Glitch/Bug
This is probably the most annoying glitch in Grand Theft Auto IV EVER! So i spend hours and hours trying to find the perfect sports car to put in front of my safe house… still can’t find one and i still can’t find one. Eventually i found the car i was after, started to drive it back to my safe house only to find about 50 parked outside it! After all that time and effort gone to waste.
Why is it that when you try to find a car your after, it never shows up but as soon as you find one and start driving around you run into loads either parked up or driving.
Here’s the glitch/bug in action, i had to show it, screenshots and a video.
And here’s the video. Beware of me controlling Niko, holding a Camera while controlling a game doesnt work.
This wouldn’t bother if there were ‘less’ sports cars but driving around for so long without even seeing one and then you finally find one and see aload of them is slightly offset.
Has something like this ever happened to you? What are your most annoying GTA IV glitches?

It’s not a glitch, that street clones whatever you drive (it’s always the same street). But the game only keeps a small number of cars in a cache to save on memory (this is well documented) - some cars are very rarely spawned. It’s not a glitch, it’s a necessity of hardware limitations.
you must be playing the 360 version of the game because i have both and on my ps3 it happens far far less then the 360
I was about to say the same thing as yoko…I haven’t seen that happen like that…I’m on PS3 version. I was always amazed at how GTA IV didn’t do that. San Andreas and Vice City GTA III did that of course. But I was always pleased with the amount of unique cars on the road.
It does happen to the PS3, and it looks just like those screenshots. Oddly enough when it happened to me it was also with Banshee’s in Bohan.
I haven’t gotten to that area yet but this seems to happen in every GTA game. Although not to the extent you’ve shown. I would be extremely pissed if I was looking for a car for hours and find it only for over 100 to then be park end to end.
It is kinda funny on how it seems like the GTA games can almost read your mind when your looking for a certain car. I swear I remember looking for certain cars for bonus missions in GTA III where you would need to find a car so he could sell it and I would be able to find every car but the one I was looking for, then when I would find it, it would be everywhere. HOW ANNOYING!!!

I dont really think thats a glitch. In any GTA game once you get a car; alot more people start driving it as well. That corner though were the first couple of screen shots are; I’ve noticed that before. That area might have some sort of glitch.
