I bought this on Friday it took me almost 30 minutes to install then update. Is it just me or can you not upgrade your cars (wheels, fly wheel, crank shaft) or is this intended for the full release?

[Reply to this comment]

You can’t upgrade your cars in Prologue, but you will be able to in the full version, don’t worry about that, Prologue is just a snippet of the full version.

There will be a full career mode as seen on the previous Gran Turismo’s where you start low and build your way up the ladder.

Does this mean that you wont be able to transfer the cars across to GT5?

[Reply to this comment]

The developers are definitely planning on transferring progress and hard work in Prologue to the full game, GT5. What we don’t know is if it’s cars, save file, credits etc.

hi may i know where can i download the update for the gt5 spec 2 update… I just bought my ps3 today..

[Reply to this comment]

There is nowhere to download it manually, what you have to do is load GT5 Prologue up, and simply click Online at the main menu. This will check for any updates and will download the latest update.

Mine doesnt even download always says “error downloading” whats wrong anyone?

[Reply to this comment]

pedsz221, try and delete the GT5 game data, then reinstall GT5, then try to download the update. It also depends what NAT type you have. Any below NAT type 2 is good. With NAT type 3 you will have problems. Are you on wireless? If so try wired connection.

[Reply to this comment]

i got a wired connection and i got it on buray and i wud delete the save data but ive now completed it and really cant be bothered to redo it all and what is NAT?

[Reply to this comment]

just found out what NAT is and i got type 2

[Reply to this comment]

Hi. im alway so having trouble downloading the update. iv delete the old file an reinstalling but it alway stops at the same place of downloading

im not sure how 2 tell what NAT type iv got if it is that?

[Reply to this comment]

how long would you say it might take download? iv got 8mb speed so would it still take hours.

[Reply to this comment]

bash247, It depends how busy PSN is, if a lot of people are downloading then it will take longer. Try downloading at night to see if things improve. You can check your NAT type in the network settings on PS3, all you do is test the internet connection and it will bring up your NAT type.

Alrite lads, my broadband speed is 2mbps & the download took bl00dy ages… Had about 30 failed attempts. I was watching Blues (Cardiff pinks) V Ulster while I waited. One other try after the game and it did it. Took about 3 seconds to go from zero to full. Other times it took 40mins to get 2/3 of the way and tell me error.

My advice to people with downloading problems: Just keep going. Un;ess you’ve get connection problems, just try, try, and try again till it works.
I don’t think it’s woth the wait, but it’s the only way th get online play.
