A user on the metalgearsolid.org forusm have posted 2 pictures of the box for Metal Gear Solid 4 and kinda confirms that MGS4 will be ran in full 1080p.
If you look at the back of the box you can clearly see that it says 1080p at the end of the ’supported HD video output’ options.

I don’t think that matters. Lots of games have 1080p on their boxes but it just means the game is upscaled.
Let’s hope it plays in true 1080p HD!
