On the official EU Playstation site it appears that EA is offering an exclusive to PS3 users who pre-order Dead Space.
You’ll be getting an Obsidian Rig which will be available from the Playstation store once you log in the game. The main character will get a suit that has Playstation 3 themed colours (Black, red, blue and a little bit of yellow), increased toughness and more inventory slots.
You can get this item for free from October 24 till November 7. After that you will have to pay. How much is not known yet.
There also seems to be a limited edition red-tinged Scorpion Rig which you can get a selected shops when you pre-order there. You will be given an unique code to download it from the Playstation Store.

The exclusive suit and the scorpion suit is already available in the North American Store.
Quite a misleading title there, it is not exclusive items for the PS3 version, as titled, just for anyone (PS3/360 owners) who pre order the game. Just saying.
Well actually it isn’t. On the Xbox version you get a Elite suit rather then a Obsidian Rig.
