Dead Space is good and scary!

deadspace3

The latest game i’ve been playing through is Dead Space, a game that will make you crap yourself! I’ve been looking for a game that will scare, i’ve tried other horror titles such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill, although scary but not as scary as Dead Space.

I didn’t think much of Dead Space when it was first announced and thought it would be just another horror game. I did some research to see what the reviewers gave the game and found that alot of sites were rating it very well. For example, on TestFreaks (who analyses most reviews) Dead Space has scored 8.4 out of 10 with great reviews coming from IGN (8.7 out of 10) and Gamespot (9.0 out of 10).

If you haven’t tried or played Dead Space, download the demo from the Playstation Store and see if you like it.

I’m already looking forwards to Dead Space 2.

Did you play it with surround and in the dark. That’s the best way to play such games.

I love Dead Space and I’m disapointed why TestFreaks gave it only 8.4 out of 10.. It should be 10/10!!

Dead Space is awesome, however, i think it’s a game you would only play through once.

Agreed. I had it, and played it through 4 times in total just to get the Trophies. By halfway through the 3rd play-through, it was a chore. As soon as I’d got the Platinum trophy, I sold it on.

It is a fantastic game, but replay value is quite limited. If not for Trophies, as good as it was, twice would have been quite enough.

I’d welcome a sequel, but I’m not sure how they could continue the story as it seemed pretty self-contained. Even with a sequel, I’m hoping that EA don’t turn it into another infinite series like FIFA, Madden, NFS and the like. It would lose its appeal if we had a new Dead Space every year.

Don’t hold you breath for Dead Space 2, the dudes at EA Redwood Shores are busy making Dante’s Inferno.
