Crytek think PS4 will arrive by 2012
Crytek, the team behind the Crysis game has said that the Playstation 4 will arrive in 2011 or 2012. At a keynote session during this years Games Convention Developer Conference, Crytek president and CEO Cevat Yerli has said that the new next generation of consoles will be released in 3 to 4 years time.
“The PlayStation 4 and Xbox ‘720′ will arrive in 2011 or 2012, we think,”
“But this is just our estimate - we don’t know, and even if Microsoft and Sony told us, I couldn’t say because it would be under NDA.”
“But we think in three to four years’ time, although there are good reasons why it should be 2010 already…but we’ll see.”
I can’t see it happening to be honest but who knows.

I don’t believe this speculations cause to launch a new playstation there had to be a noticeable increase on the home entertainment technology, This consoles are the respond 2 the HDTV’s, Dolby surround and the HD technology (blu ray) and to this day the blu ray capability its the trump card of sony’s console, & I don’t think the blu ray massively take over the DVD so fast so the blu ray can be outdate by the new technology the supposedly the PS4 would be bring in, They said that the PS3 will have a 10 years life span but I think it didn’t started at launch date but in 2008 so my prediction it would be 2018-2020, on the contrary I fully agree with the “xbox 720″ release date but I imagine it as a hardware add-on.
