Eat Sleep Play’s new game? We’re all wondering what Eat Sleep Play’s new game is. If you dont already know, Eat Sleep Play is a new company formed by David Jaffe and Scott Campbell. The team behind the Twisted Metal series and God of War, currently have a three game console/handheld exclusive deal with Sony.
David Jaffe has shown some stuff about his new game, here’s an image.
The above image is David showing his doodles for a new level design for his game. But what is the game? Could it be a new Twisted Metal or something?
But I figured I’d share a bit of what’s up with the work on my end. Out in Utah I know the team is scrambling to get a nice, sexy build of the game going for a Sony Dog and Pony next week. While I am sure I would drive some of them crazy if I was out there everyday- and the very successful, very functional alliance we’ve forged over the last 12 years would prob. not work with daily, real life connection- it’s times like these I WISH I was out there, so I could help with the crunch.

John Diamonon replied on August 10, 2008 at 10:51 pmDon’t worry. We’re working on something for you US Monster Hunter fans.
What does this mean then? It could just be the Monster Hunter 2 expansion pack or that they could port Monster Hunter 3 over at a later date.
No one knows but if they reveal anything they reveal it.

It appears that Dead Rising could be making it’s way to the Playstation 3 after John Diamonon of Capcom hinting it on the Playstation.Blog. if you take a look at the comments section of this post on the Playstation.Blog you’ll see that John has hinted that Dead Rising could make it’s way to the PS3…

Street Fighter surprise coming? It seems that there is a Street Fighter surprise on the way for Playstation 3 owners. John Diamonon of Capcom has revealed that there will be a surprise for Street Fighter. After commenting on the Playstation.Blog, he’s revealed quite a lot.
I’ll let Ben Judd answer this. I can, however, tell you that there’s a Street Fighter surprise next Thursday. Go to Capcom-Unity.com this Monday to find out!

Yoda on the PS3According to PS3Fanboy the official Korean Playstation site Yoda will be downloadable from PSN for Soul Calibur 4. After an in-game footage of a battle between Yoda and Dark Vader spread the web rumours have been spreading more rapidly on which console this was. Some gave the 360 the advantage as Microsoft is willing to pay for downloadable content.
Neither Namco or SCEE/SCEA have confirmed this rumour (yet).

Unknown Sony ExclusivesE3 has been and gone. A lot of Playstation 3 owners think that Sony still has games up its sleeve and don’t want to let us know what they are.
Diggingtheweb.com has come up with a great article of identifying those exclusives or at least generating ideas of what we could see in the coming events.
The ones are find interesting are:
SCE London Studio – You are looking at Sony’s biggest internal development studio with 250+ employees sitting in air conditioned 7 story building for the past 3 years. The only thing they have released was SingStar which is a low-budget, non-program intensive game (It’s still a good game), but can you imagine 250 dudes sitting in a building for 3 years trying to make something but hasn’t produced any results? With Get Away and Eight Days canned, this team must be doing something that they are not telling us.
Hideo Kojima’s next project – will it be multiplatform? Will the success of MGS4 keep Hideo faithful to the PS3 in its darkest hours? We’ll find out.
Team Ico – Ok, we know it’s coming, but we have yet to see anything other than that one full page Famitsu ad and some funky high def screenshot of a dungeon looking stage. More detail in TGS please!!
SCE Studio Cambridge – Acquired in 1997, the last game the maker of MediEvil released was licensed property of 24: The Game for the PS2 in March of 2006. It’s been a while since we heard anything from a team of 90 employees. What is up guys? Where are my games?
Head over to Diggingtheweb.com and read more.

There could be more chapters in Metal Gear Solid 4 because at the end of the game you may have noted some strange things such as “Voice of God: Hideo Kojima”.
Here’s an attempt of translating the rumor:
Attention, I stated with a little smile, but most of fermetés: this is only a rumour. But a rumor that swells, which swells … Indeed, those who were able to complete Metal Gear Solid 4 and were attentive to the generic may have noticed a strange words: “VOICE OF GOD: Hideo Kojima.”
The voice of God: Hideo Kojima. The man loves. Certainly. The problem is that nobody has heard any voice of God, where the voice of Kojima by the way, in the game And now, it’s more than a month that many players are looking … in vain. Some tracks appear, quickly scanned. Among the rumors, is also a fantasy that juicy: December 12, or 6 months to the day after leaving the game, something will trigger in the game (sync with the clock NSP, no means of cheat). About a new purpose. Or rather … Following the end. For those who have finished the game, you understand the concept of 6 months. And then remember the stunning announcement of the surprise last-minute included in the game, and that nobody has noticed … If it was triggered after the fact, it would be huge!
Meanwhile, fans continue to search. The discussion is open, although as usual ‘, watch out for spoilers!

Another exclusive in questionThe image above shows a piece of an interview with Haruki Suzaki and Ryuichi involved with the Tekken 6 game, one quote is very disturbing for Playstation 3 gamers and Tekken lovers. Asked if the game will be on other consoles like the 360 their reply was:
As of the moment, we have no idea
At this moment we have no idea what this will mean for the Playstation and it’s long lover Tekken. But for a developers starting development in 2005 for this game it seems a weird choice they didn’t focus on this earlier. Was it to see how the console wars would go or a pure coincidence of exclusivity loses of consoles.
The only good things we can get out of the interview is that the game will be out in december 2008.

It appears that God of War III will be making its way to shelves on the 2nd of March 2009. According to retailer GameStop, they have listed God of War III to be released on this day; Pre-order Ships 3/2/2009.
Whether this is true or not, just regard this as a rumor, we will probably hear something at E3.

God of War III confirmed for E3?Jeff Rubenstein pretty much confirms God of War III for E3. The following was asked on the Blog.Playstation:
For E3, my suggestions are as follows:
-Anything from Insomniac, including footage, interviews, screenshots, etc. I just love hearing from and reading about those guys. I simply can’t get enough.
-PSN titles that we haven’t heard much or anything about. If there are any indy developers there, seeing some of their stuff would be pretty cool.
-Footage and other content related to RPGs.
-God of War III footage and/or news?
-Hook up with some people while you’re there to maybe post on the blog some time. Naughty Dog perhaps?
-Enjoy yourself.
Notice the ‘God of War III footage and/or news’ bit. Rubenstein replied with this:
I think this is all do-able. Thanks for the suggestions.
Ok, he didn’t confirm it but didn’t deny it either. He said its do-able, meaning they most likely have something planned? I think God of War III will be at E3, no doubt.

Rumors are floating round saying that a Playstation 3 Music Store is in the works. According to playstationlifestyle.net, Sony is hard at work, working on a Music Store.
one of our insider sources has confirmed that Sony has a Music Store in the works. The framework for the Music Store (and also Video Store) was added in 2.36 but you won’t be singing any tunes downloaded onto your PS3 system until the not too distant future.
So, if your into music then this could be a dream come true for you.

Apprently there is a big Final Fantasy VII announcement coming. Translated from ffworld.com, they say:
In an interview with Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Tetsuya Nomura offers some interesting details about Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete, Blu-ray version of the film out there is already a certain time. We thought so far only a few bits of footage had been added, but little information and a complete absence of release date proved to be quite strange. In fact, according to Nomura, these are passages of the whole scenario that have been added and others who have been modified. In the end, the film should win in length and density. The Japanese release date has been decided, but it will have to wait (probably to the event DK Σ3713 in early August) so that it is unveiled. Nomura also notes that a big announcement that should accompany the release date, without giving more details … Such vagueness should encourage the wildest rumours.
Tetsuya Nomura is also rapidly on the development of Final Fantasy XIII Versus, a topic that had already provoked a general cafouillage a few weeks ago. The director of Thursday confides that the team is currently working above is very reduced, for the simple reason that the team kinematics is dedicated primarily to Advent Children Complete and programmers lend a hand to those of FFXIII. No, really, Versus XIII should not arrive before long … As a consolation, we can expect to have FFXIII faster.
SO what could this be? The Final Fantasy VII remake we’ve all been waiting for?
