Everyone knows that Tekken 6 went multiplatform, most people could see it coming because most of Capcom titles are now multiplatform.

The latest rumours suggest that the Playstation 3 version of Tekken 6 will have exclusive downloadable content. Finally the PS3 can enjoy some exclusive DLC because in the past Microsoft have paid companies for exclusive DLC. What could we expect? We can expect new moves, new stages, new characters and more.

PS3 deserves to have Tekken 6 DLC because the series was born on the original Playstation.

The latest rumours suggest that the Mass Effect Trilogy could be released for the Playstation 3. Alot of gamers think the game will remain on Xbox 360 and PC. Will Sony ever get a slice?

A fairly reliable source close to Electronic Arts tells secondstorygamer.com that the the trology will be available on the PS3. Apparently EA decided to make the series multiplatform mostly due to the “the economic outlook”.

This ‘reliable’ source says that EA could release a PlayStation 3 port of the original Mass Effect and will be available mid-2009.

An announcement is apparently going to take place at GDC which starts on the 23rd of March 2009.

Remember, this is not our rumour, we are just posting what someone else said.

Back in 2005, Sony showed the world ‘that Killzone 2 video‘, everyone was stunned, many people doubted the video as being ‘fake’.

Killzone 2 has come a very long way but one question is still remaining… are all the cutscenes CGI-Animated?

The short answer is no. Guerilla Games recently confirmed on the US Official Playstation forums that there will not be (or not interested in doing a CGI-based movie) any CGI based cutscene’s in the game. Everything you see will be rendered in real time.

Update:

An outside source who wishes to remain anonymous has emailed in to confirm that Killzone 2 will not have any CGI, all movies/cutscenes are real time. Some of them might be videos, recorded in real time.

Times Online has been told from insider Sony sources that there are going to be some drastic changes within the company. With more job cuts, and slashes on spending. They also reported that factories and some major divisions will be shutting down. A credit analyst describes on what Sony needs to do.

Koya Tabata, a Credit Suisse analyst, recently warned investors that the restructuring of Sony is perilously overdue and must be radical. Sony management needs to make a rapid shift in its business model to one driven by earnings in the content business, he said.

The focus of research and development must be on software, he said, adding: “The most important thing is that, to improve organisational strength in the areas of development, purchasing and marketing, it will be necessary to further concentrate power in the hands of [Sir Howard] and unless this is achieved we believe [Sony] will be unable to close the gap with competitors such as Apple and Nintendo.”

Sony has already made a response, and dismissed the imposed new restructuring.

“We do not plan to announce additional restructuring measures at this time,” said Sony spokesman Atsuo Omagari. “We don’t have any such plan.”

News analysts are expecting Sony to announce most of the restructuring during next week’s key note at the Consumer Electronics Show.

The expected restructuring – considered by many analysts to be occurring far too late – is likely to be announced early next month, with the lion’s share of the changes imposed on Sony’s domestic Japanese operations in the form of factory closures and the abolition of several major divisions.

The restructuring is expected to be unveiled after this month’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and comes as analysts are warning that Sony faces long years of multibillion-dollar losses unless its president, Sir Howard Stringer, is given free rein to take on the company’s old guard and erase many of its legacies.

Sony really doesn’t have many major divisions, and if in fact this turns out to be true, this will be a major blow to Sony Corp. The economy and consumer spending hasn’t been in good favor for Sony within the last year. Sony makes good quality products, but them being at high prices, consumers turn away from it. It’s kind of scary on what may be shut down.  Bravia televisions, Walkmans, and the least likely, PlayStation brand.

sega sonic 194x296 Sega classics could make their way to PSN

Wouldn’t it be amazing to play all those Sega classics again especially the Sonic series, i would deffinately buy them on Playstation Network.

It could be happening guys and gals as it’s odd to hear the ESRB has posted ratings for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Phantasy Star II, Comix Zone and Gunstar Heroes for distribution on Playstation Network.

No release dates or anything as of yet but we’re guessing this is going to happen next year.

Which Sega classics would you like to see?

On the StreetskaterFU blog, the author claims that he was able to get into the server (back door) of Home v1.3. SKFU is the same guy who posted a fully unpacked and unencrypted version of Home 0.86

HOME is the most buggy game I ever saw and they really fucked up so much. Ok, the delays gone about 2 years but after this years of waiting as user I expect a little bit more. “It feels like 2005 tech in 2008. I’m not sure that’s what people want.”, I can only agree with this comment of Microsoft.

In programming language Home is not properly done by SCEE according to SKFU. Seems there are two server structure listenings.

Some uninteresting files like the model files are missing, in generall the most interesting files are included. JSP files are NEVER sources, they are the response of the server. They are responded for german area.

He was able to download any file of the content server of Home, but it’s biggest vulnerability is the ability to “upload any file so the server”.

His conclusion is

SONY fucked it really up! First they delay HOME for more than a year, then they delay it a few times again and again till finally we have a HOME beta on a technical standard from 2005 with crappy graphics, a few boring areas and many many many many many many many many bugs. After this whole bullshitting we finally get our beta on 11.12.2008 with another delay of about 5 hours because SONY is unable to test their servers before. Congratz, to SONY for this fantastic product. THANKS!

We don’t know if this is 100% true, but this definitely breaks another glass in Sony’s House after the delay of yesterday (and months prior to that). Aaron Greenberg will be the first to jump into our faces and say “I told you so“, or did he know more?

(Despite that we feel it is wrong in some way to post it, we still do as it’s still the source of this information we gathered for you) Source

Dead Space 2 coming?
Posted on December 10th, 2008 at 11:57 AM by Talk Playstation

Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello has been speaking to gamasutra.com about next year, what games to expect. There could be more Dead Space sequels in the works as John said:

Dead Space looks like a long-term big winner for us…

Does this mean that Dead Space did well and that they are thinking of making this into a big franchise? Could well be!

somethingup Possible PSN integration into Playstation Blog

With this very subtle hint Jeff Rubenstein let a reader know that he didn’t have to worry about getting avatar up on his blog profile.

This sounds like a possible integration of your PSN account with the Playstation Blog. This would be great. It would not require separate accounts anymore.

What more do we want to see if this is true. Well first to ability to add a person straight from there (the blog) to your friendlist or even better ignore list. Checking out a persons profile would also fit in there.

Anymore things you want to see made possible when the Playstation Blog gets it’s next update? Let us know.

The latest rumours suggest that a new Metal Gear Solid 4 version is on the way. Remember the voice of god or something like that? Rumours said that 6 months on from the games release, June 12th there would be some sort of extending ending. December 12th is the date this is supposed to happen, no details were revealed when rumours were floating around.

Come December 12th it is believed that you will be able to download a patch/update via the Playstation Store, or it could be a code that unlocks the extended ending as the video could already be on the MGS4 Blu-Ray disc.

Other new features that people would like to see (including me) are:

* New Co-op Game(s) (Maybe a Seperate Storyline/Gameplay featuring 2-8 players)
* Trophy Support
* Boss Suvival Mode
* Demo Theater
* New Weapons
* New Items
* VR Missions
* Raiden Game (Maybe a Storyline/Gameplay to take place between MGS2 and MGS4 – 5 year gap)
* Snake Game (Maybe a Storyline/Gameplay to take place between MGS2 and MGS4 – 5 year gap)
