Below is the newly shown trailer for the upcoming PSP title, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. Also co-op will be a part of the new game.

In the near future, we may be seeing another SKU for the just announced PlayStation 3 Slim. Back in May, the FCC has a report on some PS3 SKU’s. Two being for retail release, and the other two for developers. Making us wonder when we’ll be seeing reported 250GB Slim. Possibly around the holidays? We’ll report back on when we hear news on this.

Mark Valledor confirmed that there will be a bigger announcement at tomorrow’s GamesCon Sony’s Keynote. One user asked if the reveal of what will be contained in the LittleBigPlanet GOTY was the big announcement. Mark had denied, and said to be prepared for the announcement tomorrow.

At this year’s GDC Europe, Quantic Dream’s CEO David Cage will be having a keynote. Don’t expect anything new out of Heavy Rain from him during his keynote speech. He will mainly focus on speaking why the game industry needs a mature audience.

Cage’s address, titled Writing Interactive Narrative For A Mature Audience, will focus on why mature games are necessary, what difficulties developers face in creating narrative-driven adult games, and possible solutions and techniques in interactive storytelling.

I just received a email off EA GAMES stating that Coral Sea is now available for PlayStation 3 owners. The email reads the following,

When the battles for Wake Island, Guadalcanal, and Iwo Jima began, DICE announced that the 4th Pacific location – Coral Sea – would be unlocked for players when they collectively reached 43,000,000 kills.

Now, after days of relentless fighting, it has finally happened.
The vital 4th map is unlocked and available to players on PLAYSTATION®3

So I gave a little visit to http://www.battlefield1943.com/ to see if this was true and it says that PlayStation 3 is on 35821284 kills. Maybe this is a mistake or maybe it really is available. Please inform us if you have any relevant information on this topic.

In a new Limited Edition PSP Entertainment Pack, Kristin Neirinckx, Marketing Manager for the PSP let know that on the PlayStation Blog that the new bundle will sell for $199.99.

For those of you that did not know, Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines is about Altair’s story right after the events of Assassin’s Creed as he hunts down the ascending Templars in Cyprus. It’s the only game that explains the link between Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed 2. And tells more about the next star, Ezio.

Ubisoft paid good attention to the Resistance franchise and made sure that there was a connectivity present between this game and the upcoming sequel to the console version. If you unlock stuff on the PSP they will also be available on the PS3 once Assassin’s Creed 2 is out. Games goes the other way around,

The pack will include the following stuff:

• White PSP-3000 system
• Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines PSP game
• UMD Movie (to be announced)
• 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo (not much we know)

No word yet on an European price or availability.

Since the launch of Fallout 3 on PlayStation 3 there has been nothing but problems with it, glitches and quiet often freezing that prevented you from progressing through the campaign which obviously left very angry and annoyed gamers feeling very ripped off. Considering that Xbox 360 users got the full package for the same price, then to top it all off we found out that all the highly anticipated downloadable content we heard about would be exclusive to Xbox 360. But Bethesda did show us some love and patched us up with bug fixes that were badly needed. But that was last year and we haven’t gotten any contact or information off them after that. How do they expect a community of PlayStation3 gamers when they put all their downloadable content on to one console.

It’s all for money too, when is the last time a game was brought out for the game itself and not just for the money. Plain Greediness if you ask me. They even said that the downloadable content would cost the same as it would on other consoles, that’s just ridiculous. The downloadable content has been out for months now and still they’re charging it to us for full price. They could at least give it to us for free or even half price just to show us that they care. We never received the the proper treatment off them as all the games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 was ported to the PlayStation 3. On the PlayStation Blog I went through the comments and almost every one of them were pissed off with what Bethesda have to offer and I don’t blame any of them. I’m Just as pissed off as they were. I still wouldn’t believe Bethesda with their release in September. They said it was coming out in June and now its out in late September. I personally don’t like getting my hopes up and then getting let down. But if Bethesda wants to play it this way, they’re going to be in for a huge disappointment.

One of the most requested features of the game (again) is the ability to look at a games/server info. Mainly to find out which options are enabled and disabled and which maps have been selected.

More changed include the decrease of damage of the Sentry bots and preparation for the third DLC named ‘Napalm & Cordite’ (more info later this week).

The all so talented people at 1337pwn have created a web application so you can view the Warhawk leaderboard from your iPhone or iPod Touch.

The web application allows you to view the top 15 players OR build a leaderboard of your friends, foes, and rivals. If you press on EDIT LIST, you can start building a list of Playstation IDs and handles for the leaderboards. Be sure to bookmark it when you’re done. The application even includes an icon for your home screen. This is a web application so you can use it without any hacking, unlocking or trickery.

1337pwn is mostly known in the gaming community for the release of the iNXES XBOX Live Friends app.

After checking out the new  Test Drive Unlimited 2 shots my attention was captivated by some of these images, I quickly realised the similarities between the images shown at the 2009 Game Developers Conference of CryEngine 3. Some of these images shown contain hints that this engine may be used for the development of Test Drive Unlimited 2 such as

• Integrated vegetation and terrain cover generation system

• Road & river tools

• Real time dynamic global illumination

• Deferred lighting, Natural lighting and dynamic soft shadows 

• Volumetric layer & view distance fogging

• Dynamic volumetric light beams & light shaft effects

These features have all been heavily worked on for CryEngine3, some are even exclusive to this engine and have never been done before. It would be a great to see this game developed with this engine as it would help provide the perfect setting that would be ideal for this sandbox on and off road racer.

PlayStation: Cutting Edge Technologies, catching title isn’t it. SCEE representatives Kish Hirani and Colin Hughes will be present in Brighton durint he Develop Conference to talk about the current state of the PlayStation platforms, as well as providing new information on motion controller and forthcoming PS3 and PlayStation Portable titles.

No it’s not a new Monster Hunter game but a guide on Monster Hunter.
It answers the basic questions, and even starts you in the right direct for some of the more in-depth aspects of the game.

Following last weeks “threat” from Activision, Capcom has come out to support the PlayStation platform. On the US PlayStation Blog, worried PlayStation gamer commedie asked Shawn Baxter of Capcom if they are going to stop support the PS3/PSP in the future like activision is?

Shawn replied with the following

I don’t see that happening. Monster Hunter has sold over 8.5 million on the PSP worldwide

I hope this settles worried minds for now. And with the score at 1-1, let’s see if more will come out to speak and behind who they will stand.

While some of us are still waiting on White Knight Chronicles, PS3center found out that Japanese magazine, Famitsu has confirmed another PlayStation 3 exclusive RPG.
The game will go by the name of Trinity Zill O’ll Zero and is the latest addition to a franchise made by Koei. The game was originally released for the PS1, and later remade for the PS2 and ported to the PSP.

Though details are still limited, Trinity Zill O’ll Zero will be a darker themed, mature RPG.
