God of War III is a game to look out for as it clearly shows what the Playstation 3 is capable of producing. We really haven’t heard much about the game recently but fear not, Jeff Rubenstein, Social Media Manager has updated us with the games progress overe on the US Playstation Blog.

Yesterday we mentioned that Modern Warfare 2 will be patched with verion 1.06. The patch is now available for download the the fixes are:-

• Javelin fix
• care package glitch fix
• addresses areas where players could get into geo, like rocks on Afghan

That’s right folks, Dead Space 2 has been announced officially and the game follows Isaac’s journey, taking the fight to the Necromorphs.

The infection continues to spread throughout space and our hero Isaac Clarke is the only person able to contain it. There are still loads of Necromorphs that need killing.

As many of you know there is a glitch in Modern Warfare 2 called the Javelin glitch and it hasn’t been patched yet. This is where patch 1.06 comes into play.

As well as the Javelin glitch, 1.06 patch will resolve several other issues and bugs that are unamed. No word on a release date just yet but it has been submitted to Sony.

Heavy Rain is a Playstation 3 game to look out for because it looks damn good, the graphics, gameplay and all that looks brilliant.

Square Enix has released a new advert in Japan for Final Fantasy 13. You’ll see that the commercial is in gameplay and no CGI and it looks brilliant. Check it out.

Namco Bandai has released the sound track for their latest beat-em-up title, Tekken 6. You can also purchase the Tekken 2 sound track bundled with the latest Tekken 6 sound track for $7.99.

The original PlayStation released back on December 3, 1994 in the Japanese market. A hard thing for the higher ups within the Sony Corp. to make a decision whether they should release a game console to rival Nintendo and Sega.

Now 15 years later, Sony has made a name for itself within the gaming market, that they don’t plan on being outdone by it’s competitors, and striving to keep their customers happy. With two successful consoles taking first place, Sony is looking for the top spot again with the PlayStation 3. With the recent price drop, and continuous heavy hitter games looking to be released. It’s hard to say whether or not, they can regain it.

Sony Japan released a new site for the 15 Year Anniversary, adding descriptions about each console, major franchises, and peripherals.

I thank Sony, for making such a great console, and will be glad to see every new iteration of console they release for the future. Happy Birthday PlayStation!

Any racing fans around here? I know I am, and also glad to hear of news from Polyphony Digital that a real demo of Gran Turismo 5 will be coming to the Europe PlayStation Store on December 17th.

In this demo, you’ll be playing around in the new GT Academy 2010. If you live in the following countries at the bottom of this article, then you’ll be able to race for a top 20 spot for each country, and be invited to a National Event. Once you make it to the National Event, only will you race against opponents to join the Top 20 Elite of GT Academy 2010.

With that in mind, only top 2 of those 20 Elite, will be taken for some intense racing training. You’ll drive two different modifications of the Nissan 370Z. One being race tuned, while the other non-tuned.

This competition starts on the 17th, running all the way til midnight on the 24th. So make sure to post your best times by then.

The GT Academy will run in the following countries:

Design director of the Gears of War franchise, Cliffy.B has said that there will be no Gears of War on the Playstation 3 anytime soon.

Honestly there’s really no plans for any Gears on PS3 any time soon, which I can confirm

Hmm…..I would wager that…I know Microsoft is a huge fan of Kojima……I actually have no knowledge on any of this, but my guts as a gamers told me that you would see a Metal Gear Solid game on Xbox 360 before you see a Gears of War game on the PS3

Never say never though, this is just an ‘anytime soon’ statement.
