Blu-Ray to get 3D
Blu-Ray is to receive 3D content and the first 3D player will be first presented at at SID 2008. Not only that but it will make use of a standard Blu-ray disc and work on existing non 3D Blu-Ray players.
“Unlike other high definition 3D options, when the 3D film is played in a non-3D Blu-ray player, it will play without any loss of quality, color, frame rate, or resolution.”
The Director of Product Marketing for TDVision Systems, Ethan Schur said:
“TDVision has enabled a media breakthrough with our AlterSpace product by enabling the world’s first and only stereoscopic virtual world featuring media sharing and viewing. Compatible with multiple 3D display devices, this will be the industry standard that others go by.”
So anyone wondering if their PS3 is out of date for Blu-Ray technology the answer is no its not!
